Hebrew Roots

credit: David Rice

Hebrews Roots gets pretty confusing especially if you read the different websites, where they get very intricate, same for the "Sacred Name Movement" and other cults and false factions.

Galatians 1:6-12 King James Version (KJV)

6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.

12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

If the Hebrew Roots movement were really following the laws, they would be doing animal sacrifices, installing an earthly priest for the sins of the people. But we as believers know that Jesus is our high priest and He died for the sins of the people, so we are not condemned as born again believers.
James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
Galatians 2:4 4 And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:
Galatians 2:16 16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Galatians 4:9-11 9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?10 Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years.
11 I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.

Some of them want to bring back the animal sacrifices...:(

and they sure love earthly priests, ever notice the celeb worship in their circles and even accolades for rabbis who do not believe in Jesus Christ?

I've always wondered where the name "yeshua" really came from. Modern Hebrew is an 1880s invention by a man named Eleazer Ben Yehuda, and is a mix between Hebrew and Yiddish. The name "yeshu" is in the Talmud and is a derogatory term, and the name is Yiddish. So the name "yeshua" doesn't even seem to be Hebrew at all. I believe this name was chosen to be the name of our savior in modern Hebrew because of its derogatory predecessor found in the Talmud. Of coarse this can't be proven, but is it a coincidence?.....James

Wonder if this false movement is going to fall right into the arms of the anti-Christ their false messiah. He will put an end to sacrifices which means there will be the instituted sacrifice for sins bringing those into bondage of the law. He will portray himself to be god or messiah and create a covenant with many. Who creates covenants, but only God with His people. This will be the greatest deception on earth.

Many are already following this religious beast system. Justified by good works = righteousness = salvation = place of honor before God and man, being highly praised and recognized among established religious leaders and the world. Matthew 5:11 “Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.”

Daniel 9:27
27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

This scripture in Ephesians pertains to abolishing the law of commands and ordinances along with abolishing enmity in His flesh through His death and resurrection of the cross.

Ephesians 2:12-16
12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

Debra. Yes, this deception was set in place by the creator of "futurism". Jesus Christ fulfilled "the covenant with many" spoken of by Daniel. The "70 weeks" have been fulfilled. This deception was invented by the RCC. It clearly says in verse 24 that the anointing of the most holy will be the end of the 70 weeks. Jesus was "anointed" while he was on earth. It says the same in verse 25, where the commandment to restore and rebuild Jerusalem will be the beginning, and messiah the prince shall be the end of this time span. These scriptures were twisted by the RCC in an attempt to take people's eyes off of the papacy being antichrist. When read, none of these scriptures in Daniel 9 are even referring to antichrist. God bless

Daniel 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

Mark 15:7 And there was one named Barabbas, which lay bound with them that had made insurrection with him, who had committed murder in the insurrection.
This was the same Barabbas the Jews wanted released rather than Jesus. Barrabas was a murderer. The enemy is a murderer, liar, thief. Was this a picture of what is to come when Israel accepts the anti-Christ as their messiah? They are waiting for their deliverer and king because they rejected Jesus as their king. They may believe the false prophet will be Elijah to come. There is only one bride of Christ but in their deception they will believe all who worship the beast and false prophet will be their bride. The word does say when they kill you they will believe they are offering a service to God just like the Pharisees.

70 "week" are determined in Daniel 9 > to finish the transgression. to make an end of sins, to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy.
Jesus ministered for 3 1/2 years and then He was crucified for our sins. 2000 years has passed from that time. Revelations 11,12,13 speak of another 3 1/2 year time.
(3 1/2 + 3 1/2 = 7 ( week of 70th last "week"). He shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease. Jesus died on the cross- no more need for animal sacrifice- He confirmed the covenant with many ( us). Since that time 2000 years ago- there has been an overspreading of abominations. Revelations, Isaiah,( Math 24,ect and the fact that the world will be filled with His righteousness has not been fulfilled as yet. We are in the days like as Noah was. Its time to seek the Lord with all our heart- be perfect.

If anybody wants to explore such matters in much greater detail, you may want to check out I haven't read the whole site and the man who runs it is as fallible as any of us, but what I have read makes a huge amount of sense to me. According to the author of the articles, although much of what he states would be considered incendiary to many modern-day Christians, it was accepted common wisdom up until the last few centuries. Obviously, the Bible is the truth by which to judge what any prophet or teacher says, but make sure to use the KJV or another version that is translated from the majority texts (not just 'based on' but designed to spread confusion and give credence to the corrupt gnostic texts, as with the so-called NKJV). Among many other verses, Daniel 9:27 is possibly the most crucial example of why we should not be fooled by the ecumenical/RCC-friendly/NWO versions. The NIV puts a satanic twist on it to make it appear that the currently prevailing futurist deception can be backed up by Scripture and that this so pivotal prophecy foretelling our Saviour's coming and precious sacrifice is wickedly perverted to apparently refer to a future AC who suddenly appears out of the blue.

Child of God. Could you please quote the scriptures that state there will be a break in the 70th week, only to be resumed at a later time? Daniel 9:24 clearly says that 70 weeks will be determined with the end being "and to anoint the most holy". By the futurist interpretation, the most holy (Jesus Christ) hasn't been anointed yet. This prophecy was given so Gods people would have an effective timeline as to know when the messiah would come. Gods people being the Israelites. The gospel was rejected by the majority with the stoning of Stephen. When I say "Israelite", I don't mean mean only a race of superior men. Anyone in OT times could be such if they converted by putting their faith on the Lord, being circumcised and by following the law. The scriptures give quite a few examples of others converting. Pauls ministry to preach the gospel to the world started shortly after Stephen as well. Also after Jesus was crucified and arose from the dead, he remained with his disciples for a period of time as well......James

Hi. I'm not sure if this is off topic but I was searching through your blogs for info. What do make of the Christ followers who say that we should only be calling Jesus by his real name which is Yahusha? I've seen them use evidence that Jesus comesaid from Iesous, coming from hail Zues. With the us in Jesus coming from Zues, etc etc. I've also seen them transliteration vs translation and acronyms. For example: Yeshua actually means "may his name be blotted out" which is why he shouldn't even be called Yeshua but Yahusha. I'm just curious. I feel like they're just being too legalistic here. And I don't believe true followers chosen by God who use the Jesus aren't saved. I just want to get your take on it.

I think here is a place where God is going to know most human beings aren't language experts. I've seen websites where they have argued over pronunciations and spellings too. Some even say you can't write God's name or G-d like some Jews. I think they are all too legalistic. Some can called Diego in Spanish but James in English. Names change between languages.
