David Barton Claims Churchgoers Want More Anti-Abortion/Anti-Gay Sermons

This is more silly culture warrior nonsense. Haven't most in the churches heard these same two subjects preached on enough? Abortion, I agree should be warned against and homosexuality too, but the right wing never plans to actually "stop" abortion. These are the "safe" cultural wars topics they hammer on to the neglect of a wide variety of subjects including the gospel. Notice Barton has the Seven Mountains of Culture on his display. I have warned about the Seven Mountains of Culture on this blog. What on earth is "cultural restoration"? Is he kidding us? Hasn't he read the Bible and it's warnings about this world descending into more wickedness? Why do 82% want to hear about the 1 or 2% of homosexuals in the world? Haven't they got enough of the churches' attention? What about hearing the gospel from the pulpits? What about hearing about real life instead of the pet political projects of the day?

I guess people don't want to hear the Bible taught in church. Not surprising.

If you have any "Christians" as friends on facebook, you'll see that Barton is probably, sadly, right about this. All I see from "Christians" is posts about abortion, homosexuality, and "religious liberty".

None of them quote the Bible. I don't know if any of them even know what is in the Bible.

Nope, they want political lectures and ranting about the "liberals" and America's demise and how more war in the Middle East will solve the world's problems. They aren't interested in the Bible. I've seen the "Christian" posts on Facebook too, and they are pretty sad, it is the same brainwashed assortment of chosen right wing NWO pet projects and agendas. None of them quote the Bible. You know thinking about that 4 moons stuff, I remembered those verses in my head when Hagee started with that goofy stuff especially Jer 10:2. They deceive those who have not read and studied the Word so easily. Even with the homosexuals, they need the truth, not more ranting Christians who just form an "enemy" for them to rally against.

I love Paul's preaching, 1 Corinthians 2:2 and the main problem with the buildings, 2 Timothy 4:3. - Don

The time of His return is close. The reason for all this nonsense is this...

2Timothy 4:1-5 I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.
