The Catholic and Orthodox church

The Great Schism of 1054, basically makes it clear the Orthodox church broke from the Catholic church. I kept asking my Orthodox commenters why they support ecumenical relations with Rome but they do not answer and insist there are many differences from Rome. Sure there are some different teachings, but then the ecumenical United Methodists have them too.  Surely the ones who read enough of this blog, have been warned of the Pope's wicked interfaith activities, this means their church is joined to the harlot. The Catholic church has sought "full unity" with the Orthodox churches for decades and are growing closer.

Warning: Orthodox video full of the idolatries of Rome and Eastern Orthodoxy but using to show information and the sameness among the 'differences'. There's a different flavor among them both but the main themes of false idolatry, empty actions and rituals, religious displays and elevation of clergy and religious theatre predominate. I had my fill of years of the empty Masses, incense and "processions" where man elevates himself. Notice how those poor deceived Orthodox men kiss the priests. Notice the "enlarged borders" warned against by Jesus in Matt 23:5 on the silken golden outfits of the Orthodox leaders in their processions. I think the giant "X" in the middle of the room is based on the "Cross of Peter". The Catholic Popes put out that upside down one, but "X" is also an occult symbol as well. One sees enough gold in this video to finance feeding endless poor people.

Since I came out of the Catholic church 12 and half years ago, I still have a heart for those trapped in false religion such as I was. They believe the rituals, sacraments will bring them closer to God. They won't, they lead to a false christ. Religious ritual imprison so many into their idea of what is "holy". Religious traditions and sacraments do not save. Religion does not save. Jesus Christ saves and "ye must be born again".

Mark 7:12 Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.

Orthodoxy is catholicism with a different brand of paint. It is always appalling to see an american orthodox who doesnt know what hes talking about. I live in an orthodox country, and can tell you, its a religion that murders the soul just as successfully as catholicism. It is , in essence, catholicism from the 900s with its eastern taste. The orthodox brutally slaughtered scores of heretics in the middle ages are willing to do it again in this day (and will soon, it is coming from their mouths). They don't even pretend to be sorry for the inquisitions in the east, unlike the sly catholics. The most staunch orthodox are murderers, thugs, psychopaths, many politically fascist or neo-nazists. The west is seriously in the dark about this quiet sister of the harlot, which is also the second beast of Revelation 13, soon to rise.

I agree Orthodoxy is another brand of Catholicism, older--actually displaying more of the paganism, with a more Eastern flair. Of course Western Catholicism covered up some of the pagan veneer with the phony Vatican II but still has their Santeria and other cults. I wonder what the combined cults of Orthodoxy amount to, I am pretty sure they would replicate this too.

I get appalled too, seeing them defend the false religious system. On the Orthodox thread I have allowed them to post some, but it's all defenses of a false religious system and the usual degrading of scripture's importance. Why because scripture decries false religious systems.

I agree it murders the soul, I saw the evils of the Orthodox church on one side of the family. No fruits of salvation to be had there. Nope not at all.

I feel for you living in a country dominated by the Orthodox church. In America there are whole towns dominated by the Catholic church but it simply would not be the same overseas. I have avoided moving to towns dominated by the Catholic church but we still have some religious freedom here.

I have seen the Orthodox on their websites praise their Inquisitions and crusades of the past. They do not always have the sugar-coating of Vatican II Rome.

I agree about the darkness of the Orthodox church, while Rome puts on a nice face and even pretends to be biblical in America, when reading about Orthodoxy I was horrified by some of what I learned.

@xp Interesting comment about EOC being the second beast of Revelation 13 and I agree with that statement. Here in America some believe is it the US, typical "it's all about us" mentality. - Don
