Which Pastors Took the Ice Bucket Challenge?

Greg Laurie

Calvary Chapel Pastor Robbie Hilton right in church

TD Jakes

I am sure there are many others. Some of the lesser knowns may be just unknowingly following the fad but for the big apostates, it makes you wonder. Ever notice social conformity is extreme among the top tiers? I know Rick Warren and Joel Osteen got challenged by one of them.

See: The Ice Bucket Challenge: Social Experiment? Ritual?

The Ice Bucket Challenge: Social Experiment? Ritual?

The ALS ice bucket challenge. No one in my household did it. I refused.

Be careful of following any fads. Think them through. Oprah, George W. Bush and endless other celebrities did this challenge. Never trust the celebrities.

You know sometimes I just sit and think about some of the strange stuff going on.  I thought to myself "What is this some kind of mass ritual?" I went and googled to see if anyone else had this thought.  A few others did. It seemed like it was a weird mass Catholic baptism, or a "voluntary water torture" as it were. If you want to give to charity why not just send the money instead of having someone give you an ice bath?

What was the real meaning of all this behind the scenes? We consider how the elite do their mass rituals in open view, such as at Superbowl half times.

Many religions do purified washings. One could even consider the fact they are mocking baptism. Most churches do not do full immersion baptism but sprinkling or pouring of water on the head.

What is even weirder is that one of the founders of the Ice Bucket Challenged died of a drowning at the age of 27 [think Club 27]

"Corey Griffin, a former Bain Capital manager who raised more than $100,000 for the ALS Association in the past week through the Ice Bucket Challenge, was killed in a diving accident. He was 27.
He died at 3 a.m. Aug. 16 at Nantucket Cottage Hospital in Massachusetts, after jumping from the roof of a two-story building into Nantucket Harbor, according to Carlos Moreira, a police spokesman. No other details were provided. Michael Greeley, a friend of Griffin's and family spokesman, said he suffered two crushed vertebrae in the accident.

"This is a kid who went from having a big smile on his face to being dead instantly," Greeley said Monday in a telephone interview."
Isn't it kind of odd of all the ways to die, he DROWNED? Also worked for Bain Capital well known company warned about on many a "conspiracy website". Be careful of New World Order "charity" money clean-outs too! The ALS charities are no different from others that pay their administrators big bucks. Is the ice bucket challenge a sign of the Age of Aquarius, the Water Bearer?

Why ice instead of plain water? Is that a marker for the freemasons? 33/32 degrees? The degree at which water turns to ice?

I don't endorse this video, posting for information but it will give you pause. There could be a reason they chose ICE WATER instead of plain.

Then add the social experimentation level, how many blind sheep can they get to follow? It was lots of people. We see the immense mind and social manipulation. Now all they need is some famous person to tell the entire populace to go soak their head. Some people of course doing this mean well, and don't understand or know how they are being manipulated. And the pouring of ice water too can signify "freezing one's brain" and there is that connection of historical torture/mk ultra methods that are connected to water, waterboarding and the like. Cold water has been used to torture, dominate and control people.

Ice and Isis are two words that are similar.

Also you can consider all the "weather events",  Mini-Ice Age? are they planning something with WATER?

Question every popular fad!

Holy Ghost Movie with Brian Welch, Korn and Michael W. Smith

Millennials Driving Success of Faith-Based HOLY GHOST Movie

""HOLY GHOST is a film without boundaries, we shot it without a script or a plan. It's a film about the freedom and unexpected adventure that comes with a life led by the Spirit of God. This fresh vision—a stark contrast to the traditional understanding of the church—is strongly resonating with young people," said Darren Wilson, director of HOLY GHOST. "As we travel the world with HOLY GHOST in places like the U.K. and Australia, thousands of Millennials have flooded to our screenings and told us the film has changed their lives. They are the enthusiastic audience behind our success, and an underserved segment in the booming faith-based entertainment market."

A movie with Korn, Brian "Head" Welch and Michael W. Smith combined. Imagine that! also includes the pastor of Bethel church, Bill Johnson,  RT Kendall, and the creator of Veggie Tales, Phil Vischer. They claimed they want to make a movie completely led by the "Holy Spirit". Notice how they keep showing pictures of India, and they even include a picture of Buddha. [2:11] Would Buddha be put in a "Christian" film? The real Holy Spirit always points to Jesus Christ, this is a false spirit they are celebrating.

If you haven't read this blog about Michael W. Smith, make sure you do about all of his occult markings.

Bethel is a false church warned of elsewhere on line.

In the trailer above, Meredith Andrews repeats the false messages within the apostate churches, "no more boxes, no more limits, no more we have to control everything"

On the Wanderlust productions website, they claim right on there, they are "Making God Famous One Film at a Time".

That's rather blasphemous, God doesn't need man-made fame.

Oprah Denies Jesus Christ: Longer Version

One commenter shared this video with me. I decided to share it, because I have only seen the shorter versions where it's limited to Oprah rather then the audience members telling her she is wrong. Remember the days when they allowed audience participation in talk shows? That sure ended fast didn't it?

I think that is Betty Eadie nodding in agreement with Oprah.

Oprah has interviewed Betty Eadie before. She is the lady who wrote the NDE experience top book, "Embraced by the Light". The two men in the video are right about Oprah advancing the spirit of the Antichrist. I am glad about their warning regarding how desperately wicked the human heart is. So many lost people go on about those with "good hearts", not understanding the gospel.

One thing about the NDE stuff, many of the teachers in it, will on the surface advance a New Age version of "Christianity". They will use "Christian" terms with New Age, luciferian concepts.

Roman Catholic Bishop Prays at Franklin Graham's Event

Franklin Graham is following in his Catholic church loving father's footsteps. The bishop's name is David Zubik:

                                          [picture cite]

What is so funny about this, is they banned this gung-ho Catholic from bringing his statue of Mary into the venue.  Hmm wanting to cover up what it means to pray with those who participate in overt idolatry? Warning FALSE CATHOLIC THEOLOGY and IDOLATRY in this video:

In the Graham's unity with the false Catholic church, they have already brought "Mary" into the venue. He is praying with idolators.

Bishop Zubik blesses the Mary statues too.

Civil Unrest in America 2014

These videos talk about the Ferguson riots, is this more "order out of chaos" in America? The police are getting very militarized, I am old enough to remember the days when our police were not outfitted like soldiers. Our cities are becoming war zones with gangs, worsening poverty, violence and more. It's hard to know where the truth lies on this one between the race baiters and the police state. Besides Jesse Jackson and pals, the masonic inspired KKK is getting involved and upping the ante. It is unsettling to see a worsened repeat of 1960s riots with the National Guard called in.

What was the name of the law that used to forbid military tactics used on American citizens? The Posse Comitatus Act? Sadly it seems our inner cities [well in this case it is an outer ring suburb] are growing more and more violent with the growing economic and social unrest seeming to be a nexus point for the elite of removing more civil liberties and advancing the police state. The Trayvon Martin case was just one of the openings. In this story too, a young black male is shot and killed, but this time by police. No protests are held over the gang vs. gang street warfare and thousands of murders taking over our cities but one sees a very similar event here too. Like Trayvon Martin, there is possible gang affiliation and also debate over a possible robbery.

Racial divisions and problems have gotten worse since Obama took office. With all the defense of thug behavior--something that seems to be worsening in certain communities where they are adding to their own problems--after all most gang members rob and kill their own kind and in their own communities and suppression of reporting crimes like the "Knock-Out" game in the news, one can tell evil is growing extreme in this country. Why isn't there a decent black leader to warn the black community they are enslaving themselves by taking up for young people who have chosen violence, gangs, theft and evil? This is one thing that mystifies people.  I worked with young people from the inner city in the early 1990s, and to be honest, things have worsened so much even since those days. The moral compass is broken in this country in so many places. Sin enslaves and it can with ALL of us. Instead we get the Al Sharptons and Jesse Jacksons of the world who make things worse. Jesse Jackson the supposed reverend never actually teaches any gospel. He teaches more hatred and the gospel of cultural Marxism. We can question the police reaction of course too on that side as well. Perhaps this officer really felt he was in in mortal danger as this very large young man rushed him, but too many now shoot first and ask questions later. You hear about innocent houses invaded by Swat teams, flash bang grenades and more by our militarized police forces.

This was probably part of the divide and conquer and chaos programs. If anything the powers that be definitely are putting to use our violent inner cities for their police state agendas just as much as they have used the drug wars to fill the prisons for cheap corporate labor and advanced jack-booted methods. The new world order via music and more, influenced certain segments of the population. The social collapse in the USA is more then evident in many areas. Now we get to see more tanks in an American city. There is a reason they passed NDAA where they can round up American citizens. This is a test run for American civil disobedience. Remember what can be done to one set of citizens can be done to another.  One day it may be a majority black community protesting against a shooting they see as wrongful, the next it could be any community protesting against mandatory vaccinations. It is not a good development for Americans to get used to tanks in our streets.

Why are they arresting reporters? With all the tanks and tear gas and gas masks, all the scenes are unsettling. I have read internet claims that agent provocateurs are being used in Ferguson. It should not surprise us.  One can see how they are testing each step, and how far they can take things.

I found this video too, where they practiced driving tanks in St. Louis two years ago:

Why Were The Police In Ferguson Told Not To Stop The Rampant Looting On Friday Night?

Matt 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

All To Jesus I Surrender Instrumental

NDE's are false

[not an endorsement of Oprah, but Sharon Stone's experience is a common example of what these near death experiences are like even among non-celebrities.

You notice they all speak of a white light. White-light experiences in my opinion are all of Satan, light meant to entrance, lure and deceive. Also if they speak of beautiful angels, or of meeting a jesus that tells especially the lost they are "good people", I believe these are all deceptions of Satan. Satan wears a mask of "goodness" to fool people. This can include good "experiences" to trick them.

One thing about severe illness, it can leave people severely spiritually vulnerable.  The spirit world can get "more busy" when one is on a death bed or would be death bed especially when a person is not born again and under the protection of God.  The demons are jumping up and down over the possibility of another soul entering hell. This is a personal reflection based on experience. I was very sick in my past [in my case I did not die] but crying out to God in my case.

This is when I faced facts about my final destiny and knowing where I would end up if I did not turn to Jesus Christ to be born again. When the doctors add in heavy sedation, powerful drugs to even save your life, there are spiritual effects that can occur from these drugs. If someone who is lost, is dying, they are not under the protection of God, Satan can use their vulnerability at this time to bring in incredible deceptions.

For my new readers, I used to be in the UU [Unitarian Universalist Association] and dabbled in Theosophy and the New Age movement as well as many other areas, I am also an ex-Catholic. NDE's in the New Age world are very popular. The world loves the now deceased lecturer and author, Elizabeth Kubler Ross. I was familiar with her by the 1980s. She is as New Age as they come. None of these NDE teachers teach a biblical gospel but one that tells the world, that death will bring new vistas and different versions of the universalistic message that "everyone goes to heaven".

If anything her messages have grown more popular over recent decades. Her New Age vision of death, promotes it not as the cost of sin, but as a butterfly coming out of a cocoon.

"Death is simply a shedding of the physical body like the butterfly shedding its cocoon. It is a transition to a higher state of consciousness where you continue to perceive, to understand, to laugh, and to be able to grow."

Other quotes include many themes opposite of Christianity. Mrs. Kubler-Ross did not want anyone to become born again and repent:

"Dying is nothing to fear. It can be the most wonderful experience of your life. It all depends on how you have lived."
"For those who seek to understand it, death is a highly creative force. The highest spiritual values of life can originate from the thought and study of death." ...."Guilt is perhaps the most painful companion of death."
Death is celebrated in circles contrary to God. It is calling evil good. Contrary to those popular movies and books that claim people can come back from hell or heaven, the bible says otherwise:

Luke 16:26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.

This may shock a few but I personally knew two people who had near death experiences. One was a family member from my non-Christian family of orgin. This was way back in the early 1990s when I heard about this, but this relative told me they had "died" on the table during a heart surgery, rose up out of their body, saw themselves lying there, went towards the white light and they had gone to a calm and peaceful place where they saw some family members who had died before them and have messages of love to give them.

He told me the place he visited was of great beauty and he could not wait to be back there one day.  They told me that they were told "everyone goes to heaven" and they entered a place of "great peace" and that their fear of death was totally obliterated. They told me "I have no fear of a hell". This was during my non-Christian days, so there was no giving this person any truth. Later I would be horrified, as they finally died, rejecting the gospel to the very end, unless there were inside thoughts I was not privy to with the vague view of "all religions leading to the same place" as they attended a Catholic church socially and maintained a universalistic view of the world's religions. They even towards the end said, that "god was made by men and was a social construct". Another time they mulled to me that maybe god was simply an alien of higher intelligence then mankind as they loved science fiction books.  How did this NDE influence them spiritually? I would say not very well. They definitely did not see the pit of hell yawning open upon death in their rejection of Christ and in following false teachers.

About a year before, I met a co-worker, who shared her tale of being on a surgery table, going into cardiac arrest and then leaving her body the same way, seeing the white light and then copying the above experience almost verbatim. Are you noticing a theme here? This lady was a very strident New Ager, that believed in angels, crystals and positive thinking. Her NDE experience if anything had led her stronger into the New Age.

Ever notice the gospel is never preached during a NDE? It's always New Age bunk and the same lies that occur in all false religions! That's because Satan is running this show.

This episode is very heart wrenching and moving, but I find myself knowing that the "jesus" this person met was a false one. "My sheep hear my voice" for us believers. She met a phony spirit that presented itself as "jesus" and deceived her. Every saved Christian has met Jesus and we are to get closer via our prayer life.

There is no way the real Jesus Christ would say this: "he told me I was a "good person".  Even if the words sound loving on the surface, that sounds like something one of the devil's angels would tell a person to keep them from being born again and repenting. We all know the "I will go to heaven because I am a good person" tale we hear from so many of the lost. The true Jesus would preach the gospel and give out truth not act like a Catholic priest in a confessional.

Here is another one where the "jesus" figure asks the man who has died, "What did you do for your fellow-man?"  Sadly here the demons probably wanted to infuse the gospel of works. The entire world thinks it can work it's way to heaven in various demonic religions and appease their "gods" into letting them into heaven!

In the occult, with mystics of various kinds, some of their demons [spirit guides et al.]do show up to them as "giants" who are 15-16 feet tall.  I've seen this written about in Swami texts to wicked cartoonist Robert Crumb showing his favorite mystic "Mr. Natural" rising up to be 30 feet in front of his disciple Flakey Foont. There's a lot of occult mixed into the all sorts of entertainment in unexpected places. This bothered me greatly when he described his "jesus" showing up to him in a dream that way. Hinduism have their spirits that show up as giants. There is the lore of "giants" in theosophy, and in Rosicrucian groups. Kind of puts all that Nephilim stuff in a new light. This reminds me of Oral Roberts who saw a 900 foot Jesus in a vision, once.

False symbols, teachings and more come forth in this NDEs. I noticed some years back, they went from all positive ones in the 1970s and 1980s, to including visits to hell in the 1990s in these NDEs. In those earlier years you never heard about a "I went to hell" NDE, that was something new. I think this was part of the deception too when probably a few Christians asked "Why is everyone going to heaven in these NDEs?" Some Christian ministries like 700 Club put up videos and show interviews of people who supposedly "went to hell" and came back to tell the tale.

While some of these experiences seemed to have led these people to be Christians, I am worried about what these kind of stories promote. They give the false idea that people get a "second chance" when they die.  They give people the false idea, that you can end up in hell, and "get out" or that you can pray and get your way out of there.

I think of this Bible verse:

John 10 King James Version (KJV)
10 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.

I have dealt with unbelievers lately who have told me they believe time in hell is temporary or that they can escape. I find myself thinking these kind of stories help with those beliefs. One person I know who is a non-believer even told me I could do a "When Dreams May Come" action and come rescue them from hell. I told them, "It doesn't work that way and you better not count on me being able to come get you. I have preached the gospel to you and your true salvation lies in it not trying to skate by."

I don't want to be nit-picky, but let's be real here. The Bible says we will all die ONCE. God knows who is going to have the doctors jump-start their heart and be kept on earth. These people are basically claiming we all can die one, two or even three times.

Hebrews 9:27(KJV)
27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

These supposedly Christian hell stories also give credence to the New Age "positive" NDEs. I tried to google to see if Robertson [a false teacher] had warned of false NDEs but didn't find anything. I did see promotion of the "Christian flavored" NDE books.

With this man it worries me that he discusses seeing "angels" at an early age. This video worries me even if it seems good on the surface because the idea is put out there that one can go to hell, and call upon Jesus there and be "rescued". We need to pray for this man as well as others who have had these visions. He states "He loved me so much, he gave me a second chance."

This lady describes in detail her trip to hell too, speaking of pain and falling through into hell's fire and feeling the burning, fear, and worse things.  This one also has suicide in the mix and seems kind of blase' and disconnected from it all.  These NDE tales even with the Christian flavor are always full of false theology to confuse and divert.

She teaches false things when she said "no act can take you to hell". The Bible says otherwise with committing blasphemy against the Holy Spirit [many believe this means refusing salvation] and taking the mark of the Beast. There are other New Age comments she states like "Your soul transforms into a being of fear which is the opposite of love." Robertson mentions the great gulf, mentioned in the scripture above but totally ignores it's meaning that the gulf between the living and the dead is fixed to add to the confusion.

Any of you hear of the book "23 Minutes in Hell"?  Interesting that the chosen number is 23.
Ever wonder why one of the freemason's favorite number is the number of minutes chosen? After all why not round it down to 20 minutes?

I haven't read this book but I tend to think it has more false theology to share as well, and of course gives out that idea of dying TWICE I mention above. Think about this Mary of Fatima gave the children a view of hell while influencing thoughts to march after the false religion of Catholicism. Many of these people with their NDEs are no different then Catholic saints who share their false visions of "jesus", "mary" or even monsters in hell like Bill Wiese

This book too in the online excerpts too had plenty of false theology too. In one section he claims that "god" had him "forget he was a Christian". How could that be of God?

And just like the CATHOLICS, where I have warned about VISIONS GALORE in THAT WORLD.

This stuff is NO DIFFERENT.

And I am going to finish this article a verse I used in that article too.

31And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

Just warning people of hell doesn't mean you are a real Christian or trying to lead them to salvation. False religions the world over warn of hell or places like it. They won't be persuaded via false visions, or one's handed over by Satan. False visions lead to false religion.

I believe NDEs are false. A few readers may disagree, but I believe a NDE led someone directly to the pit with the false lies and deceptions of Satan.

Fame and Fortune in This World Are Nothing

Busy Working Robin Williams Fought Demons

Matthew 6:19-21King James Version (KJV)
19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

I am sure by now you have heard about the suicide of American's best loved comedian Robin Williams. When I was young and didn't know about the entertainment world yet, he was one of my favorite entertainers. He was funny although a bit manic. As a child I grew up on Mork & Mindy and saw many of his movies into the 1990s such as Good Will Hunting.  Now with his recent death, It is a horrific story.  While this is one celebrity, I used to admire,  Robin Williams did the same luciferian handsigns and poses copying many famous celebs. Sadly he disappointingly followed the norm in that wicked world.

He also promoted many agendas in his movies, such as the crossdressing in Mrs. Doubtfire and living for the moment in Dead Poets Society. Dead Poets Society which I saw years ago and liked at the time is a movie that has disturbed me in my later years of pondering it's messages. Isn't "Seizing the Day" the opposite of "Seizing Eternity with God"?

Then there is this disturbing quote: [at the 3:57 mark]

Satan often exacts a price for world fame and fortune. Have any of you ever wondered why an entire cadre of celebrities always come to horrific and tragic ends and so many of them die younger then the average person in America? In this case Robin Williams got to a later age then most.

I saw online the last interview he ever did. It is a tragedy seeing the sadness in the man's eyes. Seeing this almost made me want to cry. When people are led to spiritual destruction, the despair is for the seeing. There is no rejoicing for what has become of these troubled souls who chose what the world had to offer on a Satanic platter.  Whatever mental illnesses he suffered from, it is very sad. Depression is a serious problem and something affecting millions now in our world. However he like any other human on earth had the chance to repent too and in this case most likely he never did giving in to despair or otherwise coming to a suspicious bad end.

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some count slackness: but is long-suffering to us-war, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

His last interview with ET [Entertainment Tonight] is disturbing in it's content. You can tell he is barely smiling and looks like he wants to cry. The pain on the man's face is stark. One very creepy moment is when the interview asks him if he would want to connect with someone from the dead. Now why on earth would she ask him that question?

0:36
would do you ever wanna try to connect with someone from the dead after
0:39
from the dead
0:44
to talk to the other side what's it like I don't know very hot where are you
0:48
tried Miami really you know I'm

He makes a joke about it being "very hot". Sadly for many celebrities, who do not know God, they do not see hell as a reality. This applies to most of the world today.

Many in England were disturbed when a re-run of the raunchy blasphemous TV show Family Guy showing Robin Williams committing suicide as part of the show plot.  right before his death was announced.

Robin Williams faced divorce, and substance abuse problems. He serves as a tragic warning to us, that a human being can achieve everything this world has to offer, extreme wealth, world-wide fame, being loved and adored by millions and still have an empty hole inside not having Jesus Christ as his Savior.
When someone bets on the sinking sand instead of the Rock, the end is horrific. The treasures and adorations of this world disappear like a vapor in the wind.  There is nothing to be happy about this considering this man's spiritual destruction, what ever really happened to him on the last day of his life. He was another soul that could have been saved by Jesus Christ. I mourn what became of him. We should pray for his family and friends as well.

Without God, one is empty inside, and all the money, fame, fortune, love of the world is never going to replace Him.

Mark 8:36 [KJV]

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

Disney Maleficent

Maleficent Occult Symbolism / Programming from Disney. Keep children away from Disney!
Disney programs are growing more overtly Satanic then ever before. I put off posting this, not wanting to turn this place into Vigilante Citizen but decided to post this. I had a niece tell me she saw this movie and loved it. I have to pray for her!

Again I will ask even more insistently:

"Why Do "Christian" Parents Take Their Children to Disney World?"

Questions About Tony Palmer's Funeral

Here is Tony Palmer's church website and a snippet I took with his funeral plans included. It was supposedly yesterday.

I tend to think the information about this guy being a would be "rising from the dead" false prophet candidate is possible distraction. He wasn't famous enough to attract world attention. I could be wrong, if he shows up alive one day, I definitely will know it is the result of some game playing.  Many however are asking some strange questions about his would be funeral.

This man James Yaakov, who seems to be some variety of Hebrew Roots or Messianic Jew has posted many videos asking about Tony Palmer's funeral. Here is the latest.

Why is he taking an interest in Tony Palmer's funeral to have made several videos about it? And what is with those flags with occult symbols on them. Does he understand what the unicorn stands for? It is said to be a symbol of the Antichrist. Obviously I have already done an entire post on the "star of david". What does that symbol of the red hand in a Star of David represent with the red cross background? Is that a mixture of the Knights of Templar married to Hebrew Roots with that Masonic crown on top?

All I know is there some strange stuff out there.

I noticed long ago he was wearing a TAU symbol not a cross. Don't forget red and black are Vatican colors.

Be Careful of Popular Fiction

It can be a lonely place. The Christian viewpoint is being hated and more hated. Often you will be told how dare you! "You are so judgmental." I have lost friends and family too for my beliefs. The ones that would leave are already gone.  Maybe you have too.

I feel like the world is growing more insane and far quicker too. So many refuse to listen or engage. So many seem to lack basic connection and attachment to people. I feel like I am walking on glass sometimes ready to get cut, with everyone ready to decry me. So many have risen up to defend the freedom of men to get "married" but care nothing about personal and inherent freedoms of civil liberties. That shows some of the evils of politics today.

I have read imperfect books myself, this is more a cautionary tale and some of my comments on how even the book world is being influenced.

Some time ago I went to a library book group. I would think while I was there, "This is why America is going down the tubes". Most of the women were 20 years older then me in the group and they were all so liberal. Even a secular book club doesn't seem safe anymore even one where they read a lot of non-fiction. I have to be more careful about what books I read. My participation in this group is only on occasion and now will be even less.  I was in disbelief about this book and how horrible it was. I am considering asking the local librarian "How come every fiction book that is read promotes a liberal agenda?" Trust me it is extreme. Sometimes I feel like I am a time warp as things change at rapid rate around me. I knew the book was awful, but bored one evening decided to go to the book group, to see what was said about it and if anyone would be in agreement.  I was at the library waiting to be picked up by my husband.

In the book "The Chaperone", the book starts out rather neutral though you can tell it's not Christian fiction,  the main character towards the last third of the book starts committing adultery, and is married to a homosexual husband who is carrying on his own affair in secret. The book starts off slow and you think it will be a neutral historical fiction novel, but surprise, surprise! She finds a lover while away on a trip and brings him home to live with her and her homosexual husband, pretending that he is their brother while they have liasons for 40 years while lying to her grown sons, and the lover's younger daughter. She is a "Chaperone" earlier in the book for a character loosely based on a silent film star named Louise Brooks as a teen. This girl is rebellious and has premarital sex. The whole book centers on throwing off the restraints of Victorian society and goes far beyond just getting rid of the corsets but sells sexual liberation and promiscuity as the cure. It's is like some brainwashed grown up hippie from the 1960s wrote this book and the obvious promotion of liberal causes grew worse. This book was so bad, it shocked me. I skimmed the remaining parts. I supposed I gave in my own desires to offer another point of view rightly or wrongly.

I don't expect a crowd of lost people to agree with me on a lot of things but seeing a group of older women praise this book even with it's sexual immorality, advancement of homosexual marriage and polygamy surprised me.  I was horrified. Would you all call me crazy if I told you that viewpoints have grown far more LIBERAL in general and within only a few years. Two women didn't like the book but stuck to "safe reasons" why and didn't address the main issue. I got some wide staring eyes and opened mouths of shock and some laughter when I said the book advanced "moral degenerancy and duplicity", and shared my view that throwing away all traditional beliefs for unmitigated promiscuity was a path to hell.

At times while I warn on this blog about the Dominionists who do their march-a-thons in public forums, I wondered if I erred. Well I shouldn't have gone in the first place realizing what the book was about. Some glaring looks were thrown at me when I said, this book offers nothing uplifting and seeks to diminish every traditional Christian value.  One lady who is otherwise nice flashed daggers into my eyes and gave the whole "don't be judgmental speech".

I sometimes forget that my community of the last 8 years is far more liberal then my last one. Be careful with fiction. I prefer non-fiction and even there you have to be careful with the evolutionists and the liberal historians but fiction books they have moved from subtle manipulations to overt ones. What's on the best seller list? Well the disgusting book "Fifty Shades of Grey" is still #1 as well as some other dubious ones, including the non-fiction, "Heaven is For Real". I find myself thinking they are only publishing books now the elite favor, with certain agendas. There are far less independent publishers out there then there was when I was young.

Ever notice that everyone in books today are wealthy and you don't see anything written about ordinary "normal" people?  Books like Willa Cather would never exist today, as she wrote about ordinary farmers. You never see any working class characters or salt of the earth folks in books today. Even Steinbeck in today's culture would be hard pressed with the preponderance of spoiled shallow wealthy degenerates filling our pages of fiction.

Be careful of Christian fiction too, I've delved into that world a bit as well for more "wholesome" recreational reading and while some books are better then others, I have noticed subtle themes that are disturbing. These have included: Catholics nuns are "holy Christians" [beyond just standing for some morals] and "feminism is good". Some seem good on the surface like the book "The Prayer Box", but I saw some of those themes in there. Often the modern characters seems to move to communities that come right out of 50 years ago, as they are rescued and the whole village works together--Agenda 21 style?  I've lived in a very rural community and while it was "behind" the times, things never worked that way. I have noticed this fairy tale theme in modern Christian fiction.

Many of the books seem to be a rewrite of "Pride and Prejudice", where the single in this case Christian lady falls in love with the perfect Christian man. The endless parade of perfect Christian Mr. Darcy like future husbands is mind numbing.  I've read some of those Beverly Lewis Amish books, which present an idealized version of the Amish life, they do talk a little bit about being born again, but obviously the Amish faith is one based on legalisms.

I have to admit some of the "Chick-Lit" for Christian women, I found incredibly dull and hard to slog through. All the characters are south of 35 and pretty too. There was one Christian novel I tried to read that even snuck in the mysticism with "ghosts" included in the story which was kind of disturbing. "The Prayer Box" too had a supernatural aspect too, I didn't like with a cat who acted like a "familiar" leading the heroine to the prayer boxes to find them. What was that doing in a Christian novel?

One thing I notice even in non-fiction books I read are all the assumptions, such as evolution, globalism is good, and more. It is hard to find free-thinking literature nowadays. One tires too of the Baby Boomer themes that never seem to let up with the passage of time. They own all the publishing companies I suppose while Generation X and the millennials slip into poverty. Is anyone as tired as I am of hearing about Vietnam, and the Kennedy Assassination? Why is everything written around these repetitive themes and why aren't younger generations getting much of a say still? The 1960s destruction of society seems to be a gift that never stops giving.  I see this even in the Christian fiction where themes of how great "woman's lib" is, still proliferate. The heroine of "The Prayer Box", can knock down walls and flip houses like any muscle bound man! Are you impressed? I wasn't. The most narcissistic generation in history [yes I know there are good Christian individuals] doesn't want to allow other viewpoints.

I often find myself disgusted with the selections on my library shelves. I know I am blessed to have "free" books to read but have you ever been to a library where the librarians are "conservatives" or even more rare "conservative Christians"? Every book for "Christians" is on the extreme progressive side, Wallis, books for homosexual "Chrstians" and the rest. I see books all from the LEFT of the aisle. {Yes the right is part of the NWO too}. Is this a problem in your local library?

Be careful of what you read. I love to read and one thing I have to have caution about is my own intellectual curiosity leading me to read things the Lord probably would rather have me not read. Sometimes I can take refuge in older books, but even there, we have to test all things. I tended to avoid fiction for years except older classics because so much of it was fluff. This is still a problem for me but I am noticing many themes subtle and not so subtle being advanced in the "fiction". One problem I have with the Christian fiction is how facile it is, especially what is marketed to women.
