Pictures to Add About Christmas

This one is in regard to Santa Claus. If one investigates where the reindeer come from and their "flight", Odin flew through the sky with his hunting party.

Yep, it's all fake.

This is what people are defending. They love the Christmas carols about Rudolph and Frosty, they love the gifts under the tree, they love the egg nog. They love the season.

So love it, if you want to.

But don't call it Biblical. Because it's not. It's just man's traditions.

Dear Bible Believer,

Praise our LORD Jesus Christ, for He is taking good care of you for He loves you beyond any earthly thing. Today, December 26th, the day after the most celebrated day within the institutional church, it is with great joy and merciful tears, that we can humbly bow down before His Throne of mercy and grace and Praise Him for all He has done for us. Praise the Name of King Jesus.

Many of us here that frequent your blog, love you and respect the information presented for our benefit. It has blessed me more than you will ever know, and the fellowship that I have found here, has enriched this poor sinner's life more than the hatred and reviling that is experienced within the local church system. There is so much bragging, boasting, and one-ups-manship (very wicked leadership) amongst church goers, it makes one wonder if they even read their Bibles and truly know who their Master is......ugh! So much for loving your neighbor as yourself!

Thank-you true church for the edification on this blog. Praise our LORD that He can use any media venue to strengthen us in our faith in Him alone for salvation. All of the works that I do cannot ever earn my way to heaven, for there is only One Way, The grace alone, through faith alone, through Jesus, the Christ alone.....Praise be His Holy Name.

On December 25th, I had the privilege of watching this video via another discernment blog, posted by a commenter. It was Drew Carey speaking at a White House Correspondent Dinner, bringing up the issue of christmas and its pagan affiliates. I found it again on You Tube by typing in "Drew Carey and christmas." I do not know if he is saved, God knows however, and what he spoke was the truth, so it may prove interesting to is certain that many in the audience were not as amused as those laughing, and perhaps even offended at Drew's comic relief.

What a relief to hear truth proclaimed from the pulpit of the government podium. It would be refreshing to hear this at the podium/pulpit of our man-made church system, for I believe with all that is in me, that our churches have been LYING to the blind sheep for years.

The man-made holiday of christmas is after all, one of the biggest money making days of the whole religious year. And is that money REALLY used to help the poor pay their bills (household as well as medical), take care of the sick (with meals and time spent in prayer with those precious individuals), and taking care of the widows who grow old with age, in need of physical help and edification in their faith in Christ?

No, some of that mammon is used to purchase bigger trees and more elaborate decorations for it....ugh again.

Hi Bible Believer! Great post!

Glad to see you are back and hope you are feeling better. I have been praying for you.

There has been a lot of sickness going around. I have had this upper respiratory thing going on since early November and even took antibiotics for it, but I still have blocked sinus, etc. I coughed for about six weeks but thankfully that has subsided. Now I have more pressing medical problems of a different nature with surgery in the near future. Anyway, I can certainly relate to your medical problems right now.

I am also praying for N4TM and other bloggers. We may not all agree on some things as we are all growing and at different places in our walk with God, but He will guide us in all Truth as we look unto Him.

God Bless you faithful contender.

Yes people love the Christmas carols, the shows about Rudolph and Frosty. [Even Frosty works by magic and does magic] They love the eggnog and more. None of it's biblical, you are right, it is all the traditions of men.

Yes Praise the name of Jesus Christ. I have relief when the "day" is over, I suppose this is from the spiritual realities of it all. I will pray to God about it all, knowing it is finished for another season especially in another week. Thanks for our kind words about my blog. I am thankful for my readers as well and you all help me in Christian edification and standing against the times we are in. This is a place where I can easily talk about things and find like-minded Christians, it has given me comfort and support. I have praised God for the opportunity to do so here too. I know someone is dissing people who "feel spiritual" on the Internet, I do think these things need be spoken and done in real life too. I worry sometimes because of other circumstances my life is spent too much in screens, but God puts different people in different places. How can they put someone down for that?

I've seen a couple good churches like my old IFB but I've seen the bad ones too and yes competition is rife among them, and IN THEM. That sadly is how things have become and the church is not supposed to be that way. Even talking to people who have faced so much horrific spiritual abuse it has been telling about the churches that are out there. Thanks for your kind words. God bless.

I will check out the Drew Carey video, maybe he wanted to sneak in some truth about the comic relief. One will meet atheists and pagans who know Christmas is not Christian and they sometimes will remark on the Saturnalia greed-fest with some truths. There is this atheist I know who mocks Christians for getting so excited about the solstice.
their faith in Christ? The money for Christmas is used for bigger and bigger presents. I had one relative send us a picture of his giant tree and mounds of presents. I am talking at least 60-70 presents around the tree. It is a show-off fest too. My household even if we celebrated Christmas could not afford even one present. Most of the poor and widows and others are left behind on Christmas. A few may have kind friends and others to help them. I have been so blessed, but for the poor Christmas is a depressing affair. Many probably are led into sin via envy and watching the displays. They feel like children outside the toy store where they are looking in at all the gaiety and they are left out of the fun. Adults who cannot afford good gifts for their children feel like worms, and/or put the family finances at risk and go into debt. So much of the displays and while a few say feed the homeless, work at the soup kitchen and some do, most are left behind during the shopping fest. The trees are expensive. When I still celebrated Christmas around 2000, I remember lamenting I could not afford a good tree. I had someone give me a used one that was very rickety. Even there was one is looking at a couple hundred of dollars for decorations. There too the poor suffer, being unable to match the put on displays.

Thanks Discerning the Time. I have some health problems I don't bring up on here, one is of a rare nature, so I understand pressing medical problems. I will pray for you. I know chronic illness and other problems can weigh a heavy toll. So for me a flu or cold can mean a hospital visit or stay. I will pray for you and your surgery. I am praying for N4TM and other bloggers as well. While I want her to know the truth about Christmas, I do not want her to feel dismayed and to give up blogging. I've had controversies on my blog too, it can be hard, but one has to continue and move on and pray to God for leading. I agree we are all growing and at different places in our walk with God. I have my struggles as well. I don't want anyone to think I am claiming I am Mrs. Perfect when discussing an issue like Christmas.

God bless you too.

Hello Bible Believer,

Perhaps you wouldn't mind addressing the horror of this video clip that a Youtube,r Brian Moonan, uploaded. I was taken aback at what I saw at the beginning. What were these people thinking? And the so-called guardian of these poor children who were so terrified at the images these foolish people were presenting before their eyes. This is the address of the video clip that Brian uses in his video.

This is the name of the video on Brian's youtube page entitled "PAGAN ORIGINS of CHRISTMAS Part Three" at this link -

And people still refuse to turn away from this unclean holiday.

GOD Bless you all in Christ Jesus our Lord and Saviour!

BB, I am praying for your healing. I have talked about my own health issues in the past, and the flu can be deadly for someone with a chronic condition. You are blessed to have a unbelieving spouse that supports you. He too is also blessed.

Dear Lord, I pray for BB and that You heal her from her illness that is bringing her health down rapidly. I pray that You will touch her and heal her completely. I thank You for gentle spirit and her desire to serve You, despite the persecution. LORD, You are so wonderful in Your works and ways! In Jesus name, Amen.

Been "beat up" pretty good on FB and various sites this year all by "fellow Christians". I can't think of anyone who would call themselves a non-believer who said anything to me at all. Glad it is over, now on to easter! (yay)

My sister and her husband are professing Christians that do not celebrate Christmas because they believe it is not christian, but they do burn incense daily and drink hard-alcoholic 'spirits' almost daily, smoke marijuana, listen to all forms of rock n roll, rap, pop music daily, they play video games like that 'grand theft auto', and invest much money in the clothes they wear. Its confusing and my husband and I don't say anything as we don't fellowship with them anymore because we know they will be angry. I love them but don't know what to do.

Bible Believer said...

I can understand why you don't fellowship with them. Please warn them that pot opens people to demons, mandrake....their lifestyle does seem like they are not being convicted by God or simply not obeying.

Bible Believer said...

Rena which side are you on? LOL, the anti-Christmas side one really is in for it but we must warn people and speak truth to them.

Bible Believer said...

Thanks JL, for your prayers, I am still dealing with a strong cough but I have been getting better. I will pray for your health too. God please bring good health and blessings to JL too, in Jesus's name. Please pray for my spouse to be saved too.

Bible Believer, sorry definitely don't celebrate any of the pagan holidays. And even when I just wanted to explain my position in a! I WAS on a page(a Bible trivia page so supposedly Christian) on FB where the admin, was wishing everyone a merry Christmas and then added "pagan hunters be pagan hunting". I tried to explain that it wasn't b/c we don't know the exact date of Jesus' birth, which is one of the big things that I see people grab on to, but the pagan origins not only to the day, but also the traditions along with it. Well, just let me say that was NOT well received at all. I was basically told by this admin and others of how silly I was to not just enjoy the joy of the season, that I take my relationship with God too seriously, I should lighten up and of course I was missing the whole point of the season. The Answers in Genesis FB page (an organization I have respected until now) included an article that gave those who celebrate Christmas a defense against those legalistic, and adding man made rules to our position. Needless, to say, I don't follow either of these groups anymore. It saddens my heart that more people can't see the truth, it troubles me even more that someone who claims to be a brother/sister in the faith is more likely to attack you over this issue than someone of the world.

Dear BB,

Thank you for praying for me. :)

Heavenly Father, I pray that You will send the Holy Spirit down to woo BB's husband to the call of salvation. Send the Spirit right now LORD, open and soften his heart to embrace Your invitation to eternal life. Father God, let his name be written in Your book, and give him a desire to seek You while You may be found. LORD, I thank You in advance for what You will do for BB's husband. In Jesus name, Amen.

Rena, you said, "it troubles me even more that someone who claims to be a brother/sister in the faith is more likely to attack you over this issue than someone of the world." When we Christians share our conviction with other Christians who don't see any issue partaking in the celebration, they feel attacked too. Even though we may be coming from a place of love when explaining our position (conviction), Christmas time is often equated with family/tradition (memories)/creating history with loved ones. So because this lie runs so deep within the majority of the lost and saved (interesting you get the same response from both camps for the most part), it's no wonder they look at us with such disdain. It's almost as though we have offended their family identity. Separating from the world at this level is no easy matter as we are up against "the traditions of men." Mark 7:8 and Col. 2:8. This is exactly what Jesus was dealing with concerning the Pharisees and look how angry and offended they got. Be encouraged, look how many Christians are waking up to this lie, this was not the case even just 3 years ago.

BB, I've been praying for you; glad you're feeling better. I have to write this when no one else is around; my unbelieving husband doesn't mind which websites I visit, but my children will disapprove. I am getting more convictions about Christmas, but the family celebrates it with gusto. Hubby loves his decorations,,as does his sister who admitted in her house she's the one who really wants them. At least the gift giving is lessening; I will be in much prayer about what to do next year. My fellowship does mainly singing in the meetinghouse and for others at this time; no decorations are in the meetinghouse, and members Don' t do Santa or trees; minimal decoration in the homes. But I'm disgusted with what society does, especially all the garbage with Santa; my mom puts out the old picturesof me and my brother with Santa. I certainly don't want those pictures. Anyway, I hope your husband comes around and will see the light. God's blessing on you.

How can you take the word tree in this verse and jump to the conclusion that it is speaking of a Christmas tree? Isaiah 44: 12-28 speaks similar words, and when put into context with this passage you realize it has nothing to do with Christmas.

Just because man distorts anything that God has created does not make it evil. Should Christians refrain from marriage now that laws have changed to include alternative marriages. Shall we stop eating because far too many abuse their bodies with food and drink?

You are completely neglecting everything Jesus and Paul wrote on such matters. Wether you believe you are the mature in Spirit and others are weak, or vice versa, this is an issue that will cause your brothers and sisters to stumble. Which is a matter that God has discussed.

If you feel God is leading you away from Christmas, than I respect your opinion, but God uses everything and everyone in different ways. I have personally witnessed people come to faith through Christmas Eve services. So what if some time in history a druid or some cult worshipped a tree. I do not idolize trees and all it does is cause me to reflect on Christ coming to save me.

I really enjoy your blog, though I disagree quite a bit, but I do appreciate people who at least take the time to discover what lies behind the veil.

I pray God heals you and wish you all the best.

The Harvest said...

Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.
For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.
They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. Jer 10:2-4

Christ Mass - Cunning Catholic Fable Mixed With Tradition

Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. Col 2:8

Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us. 2Th 3:6

James Markham, pray to the Lord Jesus Christ to reveal any wicked way that might be in your heart.

Defend the Truth. Jesus is the Truth.

Heb 13:4, Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Rom 6:17

The Bible does not teach any such tradition as Christmas.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2Co 5:17

Christmas seems near and dear to your heart. Let it go brother, it brings no glory to God.

You can tell someone about Jesus anyday and at any place. Because you bring the Gospel on Halloween doesn't make that day commendable. Preach the Gospel in season and out of season.

There will be no Christmas in heaven.
To Him, the Only Begotten Son be all the glory, from heanceforth and forever more, Amen.

James Markham, if someone came to faith during a service, it is because they heard the GOSPEL and believed. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17).

The tree didn't lead them to faith.

If anything, they came to faith despite the tree. The tree would tell them that the whole "Christmas" thing of Santa Claus, reindeer, mistletoe, and trees, is all made up. So they came to faith despite the lies of "Christmas", because the Word of God is powerful.

That is the kind of stuff I agape learning about!! Thank you! I can't believe I hadn't come across it. I will be researching:)
Assuming you're the anonymous speaking about people hating you about Baal-mas, you are so right. With 'liberty' they will spew their anti-Truth rhetoric to defend sun worship. Matthew 23 has a pretty strong opinion on those who take lightly disobedience to God and encouraging others to do likewise. Thanks for your comments!

I've heard that about the word bible before, but then there are words like bibliography etc. I would have to research that one more.

Thanks KJV Mom, please keep praying I have had a relapse. I am still able to get online at least.

Sorry your adult children disapprove of you coming here. It has to be hard to be around Christmas celebrated with gusto. My husband may disagree but because we are poor, there isn't pile of presents or a tree or any of that stuff from his end of things. I would do things this way, warn them twice and then just stay out of whatever they do. I think God would be okay with you eating meals but don't participate in tree decorating or the rest. I am praying my husband is saved too.

Jer 10 definitely speaks of Christmas trees. It doesn't say evergreens but trees. Christmas trees are covered in silver and gold.

Trees are not inherently evil, but are not to cut one down take it into our home and idolize it. There is a line all over where God does not want us to cross. So are you telling me not to warn Christians about Christmas because they may stumble? I will admit this is one subject, that takes some seasoning, but why remain silent? Lovers of truth will desire the truth about Christmas. Yes someone may get saved at a Christmas service but this is because faith comes by the hearing of the word of God. They heard scripture and were convicted.

I am glad you appreciate my blog and looking behind the veil but please rethink Christmas. This society will tell you it is harmless, but it is not.

Thanks anon for posting those scriptures to James Markham.
