No Christian Should Celebrate Halloween

It's that time of year again. Keep in prayer as too many children will have introduction to the occult and learning to be enamored with evil. I've written about Halloween several times before. Sadly there are many Christians who do celebrate Halloween, carving pumpkins with their children and keeping the trick or treat traditions. They need to study the true history of this demonic holiday and reject it.

Thank you for exposing this. I see this too; the lack of Christian conviction regarding involvement with halloween. I see lots of churches doing a counterfeit event. They have the candy, the trick or treating, the costumes, and so on and it's on Oct. 31st. Is it any different because it's not called a 'halloween' party? Hint: No. "Is a rose by any other name still a rose?" Yes.
Please do not cave in due to social pressures to engage in this devil's day of abominations. It's not fun, it's evil, period. (***Especially if you have kids!)

Great post Bible Believer. You are correct Victoria, many churches do honor harvest parties instead as an "alternative" to hallowed parties. In effect, what they do not realize, is that pagans celebrated the harvest as well so there is no difference between "the churched" and the rest of the world; they are one.

The church that I came out of orchestrated "harvest parties" for the children, complete with games, costumes, and magic acts. One of the "influential deaconesses" gave an opening speech calling the young man "an illusionist" specifically stating that he was not "a magician" so it was okay to have him inside "the church building."

Indoctrination 101 from a church leader....hmmmmm.

And for weeks, the leadership begged for money or candy donations, and "workers" for the games and merriment. Considering the fact that most of the children has weight issues already pending....why in the world would we be an accessory to future health issues....you will NEVER hear a sermon on gluttony....too many would storm the castile!

"You will know them by their fruits....." And the Name of Jesus was NEVER mentioned at any of these harvest parties....He wasn't invited in......

I agree these "trunk or treat" and fall festivals are a way to compromise and take some of the appearance of evil away.

Halloween is the perfect opportunity to be a witness to a lost world.

It is no different than any other day of the week to the Christian. To me, Halloween is 'Friday'.

I give it no additional significance and thus it has no power.

Now, do I think I should teach my children that witchcraft is okay or celebrating death is okay? Of course not.

But on one of many Fridays if someone decides to give my children candy, the same candy they can eat on Thursday, I'm not seeing the tie in to the devil I guess.

If you don't support witchcraft or death, and merely accept free candy, what day are you celebrating? I call it Friday.

I can certainly understand how some would be apprehensive...especially if they believe receiving candy means you are complicit with death & witchcraft...but that is simply not so for many Christians.

Much like the 'wine' issue. For some it is okay to drink, if not in excess. For others, it is not.

I agree about the choice of the day for the kids, at least pick a different day of the week. I wonder if parental pressure is part of this, our kids need to have fun while their friends are celebrating Halloween, but you know why not candy or a get-together on a different day? I have concerns about the focus on candy, kids and adults get messed up eating too much of it. I remember when I was a kid Halloween was seen as a candy pig out fest. We'd eat til we were sick. It should be a rare treat and taken in small amounts. I do see Halloween as just another day too but remember to pray for people that day knowing how it is used.

Halloween is just another day.....yes, to born again Christians it IS another day....and for many people who profess to know Christ and Him crucified and risen for OUR sins, they participate in this festival just fine and mock those families who choose not to participate.

Do you know how much mocking, sneering and jeering your elementary children receive in schools when they do not "dress up in a costume" to honor halloween? And would you believe grown teachers, well, they are supposed to be mature anyway albeit, many are not, many negative comments as well to the children? It is a shame, just a shame.

And would you believe I have a nephew that was fleeing on his skateboard for dear life, as two strange people were "HUNTING" him down in a white van? This was in the month of October when the occult literally makes human sacrifices on the alter of satan. This took place in the state of Colorado and the poor eighth grader was reduced to a nervous wreck sleeping in the same room as my brother and his wife for months afterwards because he was so scared.

Take heed dear Chrisitans, please take heed and pray for your family and those around you for Jesus Christ has power over the dominions. And also pray for those Christians (?) who are setting a poor example by being a stumbling block for the witness and testimony of Jesus Christ. We live in a pagan country called America.

GMO's aren't killing our bodies, as we have been consuming GMO's for quite some times.......it is the choice of foods we choose to eat.

Stand in line at the grocery store and you will see people consuming massive amounts of "fixed" foods....foods that require little preparation. For those of us who choose to cook and bake "from scratch"...our choices are healthy and GMO'ed as well. And when I see the food stamp participants with their carts full to overflowing with pop, chips, and "party foods", I just cringe for my hard working tax dollar is paying for their poor food choices as well as their insurance plans......

and the brainwashed are crying GMO, GMO, GMO.

Let us take full responsibility for what goes into our mouths, as well as what comes out. Garbage in, garbage out.

Here's another article about Kirk Cameron promoting Halloween:

This and his "Christmas" movie is making me wonder what made him run full steam so suddenly?

Well if he is going to promote one false holiday he will push another.

This is the biggest bunch of nonsense I have ever read

"“Early on, Christians would dress up in costumes as the devil, ghosts, goblins and witches precisely to make the point that those things were defeated and overthrown by the resurrected Jesus Christ. The costumes poke fun at the fact that the devil and other evils were publicly humiliated by Christ at His resurrection.”

That is so ludicrous, he has to know he is lying to people.

GMO is poison. I do not think it is harmless. Yes there are bad and unhealthy foods but they made corn and wheat far worse for people by GMOing it to death. I know and can tell the difference between GMO food and not. The affect on the digestive system is one of those ways to know.

To Anonymous: I don't believe ANY holiday should be in schools at all, from any false belief system or religion. Keep your personal lives at home. No reason to have children subjected to all the falsehoods, even Jehovahs witnesses don't celebrate, I remember specifically them missing school when these so called holidays came around.. to me, this shouldn't be an issue, it should not be permitted at all.

Ken Ham does the same thing, he says to go ahead and give out candy, its a great way to share the gospel, I would have to disagree about calling good evil and evil good. Its again that belief of Jesus saves, therefore go into the world because its what he has given you because you are saved belief. Ridiculous: 1 Corinthians 6:16 Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, "I WILL DWELL IN THEM AND WALK AMONG THEM; AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE. 17"Therefore, COME OUT FROM THEIR MIDST AND BE SEPARATE," says the Lord. "AND DO NOT TOUCH WHAT IS UNCLEAN; And I will welcome you. 18"And I will be a father to you, And you shall be sons and daughters to Me," Says the Lord Almighty.
