Ray Comfort Wants to Take On Homosexuality

The endless focus on homosexuality is a waste of time. Yes I understand Christians making a stand against it and have myself on this blog. Ray Comfort isn't going to stop lost homosexuals from their sin, only the Holy Spirit can convict their hearts after they are born again to depart from the homosexual life.  Does a movie really cost that much to make?

The Homosexual Hegelian Dialectic and Obsession

Ray Comfort doesn't preach the Gospel anyway, he preaches the works-based lie of lordship salvation, so this fits his scheme.

FaithGuy3 said...

The biggest problem with these Ray Comfort types is that they get TOO POLITICAL(instead of exposing the entire system).

For example - he made an anti-abortion film called "180"(I think that's what it was called).

Yes, he put out alot of very good and detailed facts about it(even going as way back to Nazi Germany to prove some of his points).

However, HOWEVER - again, he got into that POLITICAL waters territory(telling bypassers on the street he talked to how if you're a born-again Christian, it will "change the way you will vote"[para]).

Uhm...doesn't Comfort have any idea that it was REPUBLICAN appointed USSC justices that legalized abortion?(ie-Reagan appointed 2 of them)

And remember too he came out with his own Ray Comfort "modernized" King James bible 10 years ago. Talk about arrogance!

FaithGuy3 said...

Another thing - the NWO establishment will use(and abuse) this abortion/sodomy agenda to put these reprobate and fake "christians" in the national spotlight.

Take Tim Tebow for example - they really pushed how he is where is is now b/c his mother decided not to get an abortion while he was in her womb.

Seriously - throughout Tebow's football career(and what he's doing now in the broadcasting booth et al) - he's done NEXT TO NOTHING to preach the gospel to the lost world(other then his kneeling on one knee Tebowing and putting scripture passages under his eyes).

And guess what - Tebow was serving the WORLD SYSTEM all along! But somehow the Apostate Church acted like he was bringing revival to the land b/c of his "success" playing football? This is insanity!

And look at his father's(Bob) ministry - it is very wicked and MIRRORS that of Rick Warren's international ministry!

"In addition to preaching the gospel, we are endeavoring to plant indigenous churches with the new converts and train national pastors. It is a tremendous task that must be completed."

Bible Believer said...

Anon, I agree his preaching of the gospel is skewed.

He preaches repent first from what I remember, one is saved and then led to repent.

Yes Ray Comfort loves the Dominionism and the right wing NWO order of politics.

The "safe" subjects of abortion and homosexuality are constant money making fodder for the mill. No republican politician is going to end abortion and you are right, many have helped pass these same laws. The republicans work on the behalf of the NWO just as much as any openly God-rejecting Democrats. I didn't know about the Bible, that is horrible and alone marks him as a deceiver.

Bible Believer said...

I agree about the Tim Tebow types, if you know the NWO running of sports which is just as bad as the mk ultra entertainment world, this will make you not trust any world famous athlete that claims to be a Christian.

"The "safe" subjects of abortion and homosexuality are constant money making fodder for the mill."

Standing up against the homosexual fascist agenda is not always safe.

Bible Believer said...

It's true they are going to make the laws for the homosexuals and persecute the rest of us. However "fighting" the homosexuals isn't working either is it? I have nothing against Christians speaking out but when 30% of the time is spent on 1-2% of the population it makes you wonder....

Anonymous said...

"However "fighting" the homosexuals isn't working either is it?"

It's about calling sin a sin. Telling the homosexuals that they are wrong.

(Eph. 5:11). “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”

"I have nothing against Christians speaking out but when 30% of the time is spent on 1-2% of the population it makes you wonder...."

Yeah, but how high does the percentage go up when you consider those who support the homosexual agenda?

Look at how "1 to 2%" has ruined the state of Mass.

"He preaches repent first from what I remember, one is saved and then led to repent"

The repentance issue always confuses me. You always have so many people saying different things about repentance. I am interested in your take. So you say that one is saved and then repents? What would be your definition of repentance?

For some it seems that one has to stop their sinning before they can be saved. Or turn away from their sins. Is that even possible? Must a person change their ways to be saved? But then would that not be a works salvation?

You hear of easy believism, but isn't salvation easy? Does God want for it to be hard?

These issues can be confusing.

I believe the ministry our LORD has bestowed upon Mr. Comfort is trying to "win" followers to Jesus Christ. I will thoose to give him the benefit of the doubt although in my own life and in the lives of others, one MUST come to a point in their lives when they know beyond a doubt that they are wretched, disgusting sinners headed for hell and so desperately in NEED of our SAVIOR, Jesus Christ. He then, becomes the LORD or our lives with a daily relationship taking place between our Father and us, His children.

What I see and hear from church attendee these days is this, and I quote; "Oh, I don't do anything wrong."

Yes, I hear this coming out of the mouths of regular church goers who pride themselves on everything in this life....."I don't do anything wrong." This has become the ministry of the churched and until I became born again in the Spirit of God, I had never even heard the word "Repentance" even mentioned growing up Lutheran (following the teachings of the man Martin Luther.)

With that said, the word "sin" was mentioned quite often, but the church leaders/teachers never gave a clear, concise definition to us children in Sunday School, summer Bible school, confirmation classes, adult Bible studies, or even during the sermons......the fact that man is and always will be sinful until Jesus Second Coming was never, ever stressed, thus, this gave way to......

none of us reading our Bibles, nor meditating upon His Precepts.

We didn't have to read our Bibles, asking for God, the Holy Spirit, to illuminate it to our minds for regeneration, nor sancification. Our justification came from the fact that we were baptized as babies (and the elderly ladies in church treated you like garbage if your children were/are not baby baptized for they have been led to believe that baby baptism equals a free ride to heaven)

Another justification method was adopted with the concept of attending confirmation classes. We were required to attend two years of confirmation classes, then answer questions before a "church board" based on memorizing the Ten Commandments and their meanings, the nicene and Apostles crees, and a few questions concerning "faith".

This church board decided we had saving faith resulting in a confirmation ceremony. This was all so traditional and ceremonial and to this day, my patriarchal family members look down on our family for not having our children confirmed. It seems that according to the 501 c. 3 church, one must have that piece of paper, signed by Nicolaitan hiearchy, to even be considered worthy in the kingdom of men, for the religious of our day have totally eliminated the understanding of what sin truly is, that all of us are "sinners" and fallen short of the Glory of our LORD. Again, I hear this over and over in churches "I don't do anything wrong, anotherwords "I don't sin."

With that said, what I have seen and experienced in several churches is this....more of a focus on "the self." And those who are lording over others via elected positions, or what I call "the alpha girl syndrome"; the apointed self righteous in churches gladly pointing out the sins of others, yet not having their our houses in order so to speak.

In conversation, the Name of Jesus never comes out of the mouths of those who attend church every Sunday. NEVER. Oh, I hear the sins of others pointed out and how terrible and horrible certain individuals are in our communities, but I never hear any confession of their own personal sins and the need for repentance through Christ Jesus for the cleansing of their own sins.......

The New Testament church simply doesn't exist in my area....I am broken to admit such a fact. There have never been tears shed over sin in any church I have attended, I have never witnessed what true repentance looks like inside the church buildings for in order for this to happen, one must exhibit true humility....and that my friend is an indicator of "weakness".

We must not have weakness and brokeness in our churches for that would go against the grain of James Dobson's and the like of his false theologies "self esteem" movement. We must instead, be strong, be happy, be invincible, be all knowing, be wise in our own "little gods."

And this is the statement I hear often coming out of the lips of the churched, which I never heard from my parents growing up, and that is this....."I am so proud."

Are we, as born again believers in Christ alone, supposed to "be proud of ourselves?" Really?
To those reading this long narrative, I am crying out for help here...if I missed those Scriptures where we are called to be proud and boast of ourselves, will you please point them out to me as I may have a scewed understanding of God's Word. I desire to know His truth here.

So by now, you, the readers are probably thinking, "what is your point." And this would indeed, be a respectable thought.

What I have seen and heard within organized religion is this....many have left churches due to accepting homosexual/lesbian pastors and leadership, many pastors have condemned and renounced homosexuality using Scriptures as well as their own "wisdom" and cute little stories to make their point during sermon time, and I hear this almost daily...."Homosexuals are ruinging this country" from both the religious right and the religios left.

Homosexuality is the "hot topic" of our day and when one reads the Scriptures, His Word tells me "there is nothing new under the sun." It was practiced in the Old Testament, the New Testament as well as today. It was practiced in secret then, and is practiced in secret today, with many using it as a public platform to transform our society into accepting "sin."

We, as born again believers in Jesus Christ, know that every man desires, or at least secretly desires, for his or her own sin to be accepted, so we justify it with denial, excuses, or blame, for we are all sinners. So why do we expect homosexuals to be any different? They desire for their sin to be accepted, embraced, and loved, for deep down within their sould, they are hurting and are crying out for love.....we know in part, it is the wrong kind of love for the Bible tells us so, and is condemned by the Scriptures.

Most churches and the people that have surrounded me inside the church buildings, really call out the "sin" of homosexuality....pounding its nail hard into the groud. These churches accept every other form of sexual sin, but NOT homosexuality, for that is the only sin that leads one to hell?
We do not hear sermons on "divorce" because that will offend half of the congregation, we do not hear sermons on our children (and in many cases nowdays, our grandparents) living together in fornication with no thoughts of getting married, because the pew sitters may throw their hymnals into the pew ahead of them as they leave in anger, we don't hear sermons on adultery happening in the midst of us because many of these people are holding positions of "leadership" within the church, we don't hear about the crime of rape (violent sexual sin) happening in even in rural America and the prayer needed for its victims, we don't hear sermons from the Nicolaitans concerning the television programs, the music, the movies, the magazines, right down to the young high school girl "baring to much skin", (soft and hard porn)for those to lust after....that are completely inappropiate for all of us to stay away from because of its disgusting displays of sexual imagery, and we don't hear sermons discussing the spiritual content of our Sciptures.....concerning the thought process of mankind.

"You have heard that it was said to those of old, "You shall not commit adultery.' "But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart." Matthew 5:27-28

"If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell." Matthew 5:29

"We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death. Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in Him." 1 John 3:14-15

The last two verses speak of the sins and deceptions taking place within the inside of man that we cannot see externally....lusting equals the same as committing the sexual act; hating in the heart equals the same as murdering another human being.

When I began to understand these verses, I was blown away, for our hearts can hide many deceptions, yet our LORD sees and knows everything. How convicting is the reality of knowing that while I stand in the middle of the bean field, that dirt I am standing on is me, and the worms that permeate the soil, is mankind, for none of us can make the claim of being sinless.

I believe the sin of homosexuality is being used by the Laodicean/Nicolaitan church system as a decoy in taking our eyes off all of the other sexual sins that are legion within organized religion here in our coutry. How many pastors have fallen due to sexual sin of some sort all the while they are hammering the homosexual community? How many in leadership have "hidden lusts" for that cute little blond bombshell walzing up the aisle on Sunday mornings and gives her more attention after the church service than his own wife of 25 years? How many in our churches attend movies filled with sex, violence (rape, sadistic sexual rituals, etc.", that we wouldn't even consider inviting our 90 year old grandmothers too?

I recently heard these words from a reputable discernment ministry:

"As goes the church, so goes the culture."

I had to stop in my tracks and ponder that one for goes the church, so goes the culture...there is such truth in this statement.

It is far too easy for the church to call out the sin of homosexuality, because in part, it takes our eyes off ot he sexual sins taking place in the physcial and in the spiritual within the hearts and minds of men. And we leave the church buildings feeling pretty good about ourselves because we are not homosexuals, nor are our children, or our extended family for that matter. Yes, our self righteousness shines as we leave those painted walls of religion.......and yet, I was a fornicator myself before I was married, and called to repentence years later after being born again. And as a parent blessed with children, witnessing to and teaching them this is sin and rebellion against our Holy God from His Scriptures. It is my hope and prayer my children remain pure until their marriage bed, this I can pray as a loving parent.

I often wonder, "Where are the prayers from the churched for the homosexual community?"

I see nothing typed under prayer requests and hear nothing in the general prayers from the clergy/leadership systems? The church in silend concerning prayer for the homosexuals...but we beat on our chests like King Kong and pound the drums of condemnation during the sermonette....and yet, not one sentence of prayer offered up in humility for other human belings who are created in the image of God, like ourselves? Really?

As I close with tears and a heart of sorrow thinking of a super great friend/classmate who passed away from AIDS (I did not know he was a homosexual until after his funeral....I had no clue all of those years), I just want to plead for prayer in the precious Name of Jesus, for all of those hurting and confused in the homosexual community. We ask our Father, who art in Heaven, to call to repentance those who are struggling with sexual sin of any sort, and to turn to the only One who saves, our LORD Jesus Christ, for He is are One and Only Mediator who desires that all men be saved. John 3 16-17

Alleluia and Amen.

Great points by the anon with the long posts. There is a lot of Lordship Salvation taught in churches today. No one likes to admit that we are saved by grace alone through faith in Christ and that our "old man" is not gone which means we still sin.
For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? (‭1 Peter‬ ‭4‬:‭17‬ KJV)

Had similar experiences and observations, and yes, i did land on to the same conclusion. In the end, nothing beats a Bible based mentality. Read read read the Bible and meditate on what God is trying to message us. Thank you guys for these articles and the whole thing about this blog. Very awakening. God bless!

Repent in the Bible is "metanoia", which means to change the mind, from unbelief to belief in Jesus. While the believer should turn from sins, it is not something to put before salvation. The unbeliever can't turn from sins. They are dead in sins. So Ray Comfort is a false teacher.

Bible Believer said...

Yes repentance comes after salvation, thanks for explaining that last anon.

Heavenly Father,

I pray in agreement that those who desire to be unshackled from the chains of sexual additions will be moved to repentance and set free from the addictions. I pray that those who have repented will receive Your Son's gift of salvation. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

On repentance and salvation.

“The Gospel is not a call to repentance, or to amendment of our ways, to make restitution for past sins, or to promise to do better in the future. These things are proper in their place, but they do not constitute the Gospel; for the Gospel is not good advice to be obeyed, it is good news to be believed. Do not make the mistake then of thinking that the Gospel is a call to duty or a call to reformation, a call to better your condition, to behave yourself in a more perfect way than you have been doing in the past …

Nor is the Gospel a demand that you give up the world, that you give up your sins, that you break off bad habits, and try to cultivate good ones. You may do all these things, and yet never believe the Gospel and consequently never be saved at all.”

"Repentance is the recognition of my sinnership — the owning before God that I am as vile as He has declared me to be in His holy Word."

Harry A. Ironside

“'Repentance' is a grace. Some people preach it as a condition of salvation. Condition of nonsense! There are no conditions of salvation.” —Charles Spurgeon

"Hey, don't get angry at me, but that's what the word of God says."

Why would anyone be angry? It is not a question of whether the bible says to repent. It was a question of what repentance is and what role it plays in salvation.

For instance, the thief on the cross never turned from his sin or changed his life to be saved. He simply believed on Jesus. He realized that he was a sinner who needed Jesus as his Savior. So was that repenting?

Is salvation conditional on behavior? Like Lordship salvation? Must i stop sinning to be saved? How does one do that without the holy spirit in them?

Bible Believer said...

Repenting is a fruit of salvation.

Plenty of those in false religions like Catholicism repent over and over and try not to sin are on a dead end. Of course repentance is preached in the bible but it comes via salvation not the other way around.
