Phony Catholic Prophecies

Stick only with the Bible when it comes to prophecy. I don't need to tell my truly Christian readers this.

I was Catholic long enough to totally engrossed in all the phony prophecies the Catholic religion had to offer. Let me make a list...

1. The Three Days of Darkness supposedly all light would be extinguished for three days, and you had to go get special blessed candles that would shine through the darkness. I knew Catholics who believed this and had the special candles at the ready. These were supposed to be certain percentage of beeswax or they would not work. This seemed even a bit much for me at the time.

2. The Third Secret of Fatima nonsense, where supposedly the demon at Fatima had another secret to impart that was not delivered and the Popes kept it under their hat. There are various theories as to what this secret was. In the Bible we are told God does not work in secret: Amos 3:7.

3. That there would be a 7th Fatima [warning false Catholic link] apparition which would "unite" the world.

4. Malachy Prophecies, now even emphasized by Tom Horn and his book Petrus Romanus, not an endorsement of this website, but describing for information. Total nonsense there too, I own two books that have them in there, including the one pictured above. They are all very vague, Nostradamus type stuff that stretches a bit to fit some of the prophecies in with symbols on papal shields etc. Hey today they could be trying to have things "match" in the cause of deception. No surprises there.

5. Trad Catholic prophecies regarding a GREAT KING and POPE that would "unite the world" [notice a theme here?] Otherwise referred to as "The Great Catholic Monarch".Talk about setting people up to embrace the Antichrist.

6. A Great Chastisement, this one is often a rip-off of the wrath spoken of in Revelation but usually accompanied by nonsense, claiming that everyone will have their soul beared to them and will be given a second chance so to speak to turn to God. Garabandal is a Vatican approved apparition, which warned of a "Great Chastisement". Notice in their magazine above, the satanic marker of the "Horus Eye".

[link for quote--warning catholic website full of deceptions]"The First Message at Garabandal in 1961 speaks of a “very great punishment” and said, “The cup is filling up.” The Second Message in 1965 said, “Now it is overflowing.”·Conchita described the Chastisement as something “very, very great inkeeping with what we deserve.”·She stated, “The Chastisement is conditional and depends on whether or not mankind heeds the messages of the Blessed Virgin and the Miracle.”"
One thing interesting for me was I was reading the Bible while studying Marian apparitions during my last years in the Catholic church, and well one thing that woke me up is the demon's cruelties, always wanting to send havoc and hardship for mankind and offering no way out. I mean look at the above, it speaks even against salvation in Jesus Christ, with a message of "You humans will get what you deserve!"

7. Demon "Mary's" endless prophecies, these include more world wide wars, great "chastisements", a few toss in a time of peace and prosperity, world wide conversions to the Catholic church, falling away of the Catholic clergy--sometimes the demons toss in a few nuggets of truth.

8. Various soothsayers and others who toss their hats in the false prophecy ring. Sometimes they are ones who are in on the news who get a few things right, but often times they are wrong too. Here is one example:

"Ron Conte who struck 15 minutes of fame when he predicted John Paul II's successor would be Pope Benedict XVI. That he did this prior to the actual election can be decisevely proved via the way-back-machine. Since then he has produced a general outline for world events that, to the say the least, has needed several revisions because the events did not come to pass. He now claims that the general outline is correct but the actual start of the Tribulation is hard to pin point because the known prophecies are too obscure. This has not deterred him however in declaring that the next Pope will likely be Cardinal Arinze and he will take the name of Pius XIII:"

Here is another: This guy totally missed that Ratzinger would be the next Pope, some years ago but like Tom Horn and pals uses the Malachy prophecies as a general guideline. Whenever it's time to elect another Pope, you hear this stuff even far more.

Before I was saved, I was a Nostradamus fan, I know about Mabus, and his other predictions, a lot of the Catholic stuff is along the same divination nonsense. This also includes years of prophecies from New Age seers and other demon influenced types. I owned Catholic books where the author told you, the world will end by the year 2000. Whoops, you got it wrong guys!

When I was born again, I threw all this garbage in the trash-heap. Stay away from anyone who claims they are Christian and uses Catholic prophecies to tell you what is going to happen. A true blue Christian may mention the stuff, but usually with a warning not as a guidebook to the last days, like this guy....

All the phony evangelicals get on board with this stuff too. Notice here the Petrus Romanus crowd gives creedance to the Third Secret of Fatima.

I mean what is the purpose to share false Catholic prophecies as the source of truth or even "some truth"? I know when I was in the Catholic church they would push this false stuff, while telling us that Revelation was only metaphor, wouldn't really happen and didn't apply to "now". Most Catholic prophecies are demon derived or from hidden political agendas so why tell your readers to seek truth in these places unless you are seeking to purposefully deceive or have absolutely NO DISCERNMENT yourself? This warning is in the Bible for a reason.

Rev 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

Thank you. Indeed those "Christians" that rest their hope in some catholic "prophecies", are leading people down the wrong road.

Catholic prophecies? You'll want to look up the "Third Eagle of the Apocalypse" on you tube. He's got some good ones, and he updates his dates once they pass by without occurring ;)

I too would leave the Catholic Church if these supposed prophecies were endorsed and required beliefs of the Catholic Church. However even Fatima is not required of Catholics to believe by the Church. While the Catholic Church did endorse the message of Fatima that we must turn away from sin and reform our lives through Christ, and pray joining our lives and works to those of Christ (In Catholic teaching none of our works are worthy, only when we unite them to Christ, and live a life in Christ are they of any use to us, which sadly for Protestants is a real Biblical teaching ignored by most of them). However ther three days of darkness, St. Malachy's alleged prophecies are not endorsed or required beliefs no matter how many indidvidual Catholics or Protestants may belive them.

All of Roman Catholicism is heretical. Statues, mass, praying to Mary. You cant be saved and Roman Catholic...nope, sorry you cant.

Why is anonymous on Feb 24th talking about "protestants"? I'm not a "protestant", since the first Christians in Acts weren't "protestants". And they sure weren't catholics either. Since catholicism teaches works for salvation, then catholicism leads to hell.

I agree JL

Remember last anon, that the Catholics are taught that everyone who is Christian and who has rejected their church is a "protestant". I mean the name came from them did it now. Course who are the PROTESTANTS PROTESTING.

To Feb 24 anon, the silliness that your church allows some of your believers to think some apparitions are real and for others to reject them is more the pick and choose stance that denotes a place where truth is not valued. I was given that line too and then I realized beyond biblical warnings about false apparitions and familiar spirits, how much the Popes promoted those apparitions and how they even intersected with other false teachings of the Roman Catholic church. You say you would leave, but pay attention to what bothers you. There is a reason you feel uneasy. I determined that the "mary" showing up was a demon, some of them lie and just made up seeing a supernatural vision too. Pay attention to those questions and don't dampen them down under the confusion of your false leaders. The Popes supported Fatima and have visited there. A church that has a list of pick and choose prophecies and visions has set truth aside.

It doesn't sound like very many people commenting on this site know what they are talking about. Jesus started the church, and gave the church its authority. How can anyone follow a church like the Anglicans who broke away from the Catholic Church because a murderous king wanted to remarry? How about the Lutherans who were started by a priest who had illicit sex with some nun, and did not have enough faith to believe that if he prayed, his objections to the Catholic Church would be resolved? The leadership of the Catholic Church has been passed down continuously from Peter to the Present Pope to be soon chosen through prayer and God's guidance. Maybe if you people educated yourselves about Christianity, you would not put up such hate liturature on the internet!

No, the Catholic church was not started by Jesus, it was started by Constantine. The authority that the RCC claims is false, Rev 2:2 Sacraments and Rome's rituals do not save, trusting in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior DOES. Anglicans and Lutheran churches are daughters of Rome. The Popes are not of God either.

Praying you find God's truth. Perhaps it was God's will you found this blog. The true "haters" are those leading Catholics in a false religion denying them the true saving gospel and a relationship with Jesus Christ.

I am an ex-Catholic as well as ex UU, here is my testimony...

I agree with all of it until the "you can't be saved" part. A catholic can be saved and a catholic. This would be despite of the catholicism, not because of it.

Romans 10:9 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."

A catholic can do this.

if someone is truly born again, the Holy Spirit is going to call them out from the idolatry and more of the Catholic church, Ive met acouple people who were saved and did not come out right away and one lady was in severe distress. Spiritually that makes sense because she was not obeying God. The idea that a Catholic can really be "born again" and sit in a Catholic pew with no spiritual distress it just does not "work". Even the idol repulses a saved person. How do I know? I was born again and came right out of the Catholic church. I personally experienced it.

Perhaps, perhaps not. Each christian is different. And the flesh is still sinful. Just look at the believers in the bible. Look at the corinthian church. Sometimes a christian does not let the holy spirit guide them as they should. Some can be worldy. Personal anecdotes do not always follow with other people. Some christians grow, while others stay stagnant. Obviously I would hope that a saved person leaves a false church. But, I cannot judge their salvation simply on that.

"Peace to this house." I hope you all change your hearts and accept the Catholic Faith of Jesus Christ. I Love you all and care for you all. Please Love everyone. Jesus taught Love and not condemnation. Please Love your enemies, because "They know not what they do." Pray to God, give to the Poor, and Love God and all other humans. As a Catholic, Christian, and sinner, I want you to know that you are my brothers and sisters, and I Love you.

Anon, I have accepted that there are people who are saved but disobeying God clinging to false churches.

You are right many ignore the Holy Spirit.

Last anon, thanks for wanting us to hae peace, but I am an ex-Catholic. I know it is a false gospel, and leads away from Jesus Christ to another "jesus" one that wants the world to join together in one false world religion which the Popes are leading you all too very sadly. Find yourself a Bible, read a good KJV and Read what God Himself says. Love is telling people the truth and the Catholic church is false. I hope and pray one day "you can come out of her" and trust in Jesus Christ alone as your Lord and Savior.

The Catholic Church WAS indeed founded by Jesus on Peter the Apostle. Jesus doesn't appreciate your insulting His Holy Mother Mary and neither do I. Don't even dare to call yourself a Christian if you praise Jesus but hate His Mother. You'd be nothing but a hypocrite. Read the Catechism. Study every authentic piece of Catholic literature you can get you hands on. The Truth will set you free. In the name of my spiritual Mother Mary, I extend you the same challenge that has been extended by so many others. Pray the Rosary every day, and really do your best to mean every word. One of two things will happen: either you will convert to the Catholic Faith through the power of Mary, or you will stop praying the Rosary and fall back into your comfortable Protestant Heresy. It's your choice.

LONG LIVE JESUS!
HAIL MARY, THE QUEEN OF THE UNIVERSE!
LONG LIVE THE ONE TRUE CATHOLIC CHURCH! AMEN. ALLEUJA!

The real Mary is in heaven with God not desiring that people pray to HER and take away from God. That is a demon showing up demanding prayers to her, special churches, and rituals.

I am an ex-Catholic, I was educated by nuns, I know it's deceptions through and through. I own a Catholic catechism and have read it complete, I use it for research for this blog to expose Rome's false teachings that go against the Bible.

I do not hate the human being Mary who is in heaven but your church has led you to worship the "daughter of chaldea" under a false Christian veneer.

If you truly desire to know Jesus Christ listen to His Word:

Luke 11: 27And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked. 28But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.
