White House ‘secede’ petitions reach 675,000 signatures, 50-state participation

What is happening to America? This isn't a good thing showing how the two party system has worked so well to divide the country, perhaps by DESIGN in my opinion. "Civil wars" are not something positive on the menu. I find myself wondering how bad things are going to get when the Obamacare bills come in the mail?

Everything seems to be getting weirder here. Can you imagine this being in the news 30 years ago? I don't know if anyone remembers but I posted about this link or put it in comments a long time ago. Remember when this guy was talking about this back in 2008?
Russian Igor Panarin: America Will Break Up, Dissolve

I find it interesting they are even putting this stuff in the news, we know they hide certain things and publicize others..... To add to the strife?  To add names to lists?
Residents in more than 30 states have filed secession petitions with the "We the People" program on the White House website. Petitions to strip citizenship of individuals signing onto petitions to secede and exile them have also been submitted. A threshold of 25,000 signatures must be met within 30 days for petitions to be reviewed. The Obama administration explains, "If a petition meets the signature threshold, it will be reviewed by the Administration and we will issue a response."
Some of the people are rightly outraged at things like the NDAA and TSA but overall one wonders where this is going. What would be their response? It is a bad sign of where things have gone that is for sure.   I am still pondering what this all means. Romney supported just about everything Obama follows.

Never add your name to anything. Petition or otherwise. It just gives HLS opportunity to target you for imprisonment or death.

I found myself wondering too what would happen to the people who have signed these petitions. :(

Praying for them.

Here is my thoughts: I think the republicans figured out that leaving the US would be the stupidest thing to do, since are northern neighbor is a whole lot more socialist. Move up there, and you will get taxed out the wazoo. Not to mentioned Europe, Australia, and New Zealand are much more socialist than the US. So I guess their next step is to try to secede from the US. This will ultimately fail because its unconstitutional for a state to secede. So once that fails, the next step for the right is to get their people into power at the state level. Pass all sorts of zany laws. In 2016, they will get a moderate republican this time, one who stays away from social conservatism. The next republican presidential nominee will focus soley on economy, so they can bring the four fractions of their base back together (moderate republicans, regan republicans, tea party, and libertarians posing as republicans.) A Dominionist has the crusader, puritan mindset. They are not going to give up.

This seems to be all planned events. I don't think that it is just a coincidence that two movies came out this year, based on the character of Abraham Lincoln- the man who was President when the country was facing civil war.

Actually it is not. Infact, our forefathers seceded from the English government. The Supreme court can say what it wants ( they also said that it was legal to abort your baby) but the constitution does not outlaw secession. Even in the very words of the Declaration of Independence it references it.

@ Anon...no it is unconstitutional. The Supreme court ruled it unconstiutional with the Texas vs White case.
