Rick Warren Does an Oprah "LifeClass"

The below article was written by a young Muslim person, who attended this class.

"'I Have Aha Moment Exhaustion!' My Afternoon With Oprah and Pastor Rick Warren"
"I have always been a big fan of Oprah Winfrey. Growing up, I remember faithfully watching her show every day after school (after my cartoons ended, of course) and admiring the compassion and courage that she shared with her viewers. So when the opportunity came to attend a taping of her "Lifeclass" show in Houston, I snagged it. The icing on the cake? Pastor Rick Warren was her guest. Yes, I realize that Pastor Rick is Christian, and well, I am not, but I was familiar enough with his work to know that much of the spiritual advice he gave his Christian followers resonated with Muslims as well. (His book, "The Purpose Driven Life," is the best-selling non-fiction book in the world). Thus, it was with anticipation and excitement that I entered the Hobby Center last Friday afternoon to watch the show. "
Sadly as you would suspect no true gospel was preached to this Muslim young person and she saw Rick Warren's teachings as applying with no problem to her religion.  Right there we see the universalistic fruit for ourselves.
This last quote really struck home with me. Islam is all about living a purpose-driven life. Our purpose on this earth is to worship God and live in a manner that is pleasing to Him. And that includes using our talent and wealth to make a positive impact on the less fortunate.
Rick Warren To Appear on Oprah's Life Class

I guess this doesn't surprise me, after all Rick Warren promotes a false Christianity that is rooted in Oprah's "have the best Life now" philosophies. Notice the title and emphasis of the class being on one's life. While Jesus Christ, told us this:

Luke 17:33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.

These wolves will say the complete opposite. Oprah has publically said multiple times what she has believed. What is my conclusion but that Osteen and Rick Warren follow the same false "christ" that Oprah does. That is the one they are selling everyone, the "cosmic christ", the 'antichrist" of all religions...... Oprah has made her beliefs pretty obvious, promoting blatant New Age teachers and their books and when she mentions "jesus" and "christ consciousness" see below, we know Oprah is pushing the so called "cosmic christ" and "antichrist". Warren and Osteen are joined with her on the promotion of the same false "jesus" as has been shown in their deceptive teachings for years.

With this video, some caution, it compiles her quotes the best, but why did they pick such New-Agey music even though they posted Bible verses? Well here you can see the terrible lies being sold, and remember MILLIONS of people in AMERICA for DECADES have been influenced by this woman!

Remember how many false preachers Warren has hanged out with including the one's from Calvary Chapel.

Of course we won't see any of them open their mouths about this.

Oprah herself WIDELY promotes the New Age with her guests. Soooo, the fact that Rick Warren and Joel Osteen are invited and "fit in"...well??? And the New Age've got yourself one complete package!

This is merely called Rick Warren "unmaske;" we already knew he was a false teacher, the evidence keeps mounting...and STILL people don't see the truth of who he enemy of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Our purpose on this earth is to worship God and live in a manner that is pleasing to Him. And that includes using our talent and wealth to make a positive impact on the less fortunate."

Now in her sentence, take out the word "islam", and put in any religion, philosophy, personal belief system. It works for anything, doesn't it? That is, if you were a Rick Warren disciple.

Of course, it doesn't work if you're Jesus Christ's disciple.

This is why "lordship salvation" is a curse, and is a road to the antichrist. Ironically, what she said about islam, is also what "lordship salvationists" say about Christianity. "Lordship salvationists" say in essence, "our purpose on this earth is to worship God and live in a manner that is pleasing to Him".

But what about the cross? We haven't lived pleasing to Him. We have failed, and always will in these bodies of sin. So Jesus died for us, rose again, and declares us righteous only by faith in Him without works (Romans 4:5).

"Lordship salvation" is a road to Rome, and ultimately the antichrist.

Anon, its unbelieveable how few get it that Rick Warren is a false teacher and an enemy of Jesus Christ, if hobnobbing with Oprah doesn't do it, I don't know what will, but of course he is there with the global elites all the way. With the video I used it despite the music, but it was a hard choice so put up the warning. Someone needs to tell who compiled it, that combining New Age music with an anti-New Age message is kind of confusing.

Hey one thing with the purpose driven crowd it's all about THIS life Abe.

So who thinks they are doing the "best"in THIS life with the most "PURPOSE" except the elites like Rick Warren who zoom around the world with their money and fame? I'd like them to tell some poor starving homeless man who happens to be Christian eating out of trashcans that being having PURPOSE in THIS LIFE is the zenith of pleasing "god" See where the message fails?

I agree with you about the false gospel of works. While salvation in FAITH brings GOOD FRUITS and works as a RESULT , every false religion on the planet joins together in Rome's lie to work your way to heaven. Even the UUs join that parade saying "Deeds not creeds". It does not surprise me that a Muslim person who is in the false religion of Islam can be joined with Rick Warren's messages, it is basically the same thing, false religions joined together in "working" for their "god", appeasing their false gods, and salvation via "works", "rituals" and ceremonies"[sacraments]

All these types like Rick Warren and Joel Osteen are telling people to "BOAST" about their works. TO BOAST about THEIR "visions" and "purpose"

When I was still in the Catholic church, I remember saying to someone in that church, if we all are rewarded according to our works here on earth, this means the wealthy and healthy people with more means and such to "get things done" will be far more pleasing to "god". They didn't like me saying that, I said something doesn't add up.

Ephesians 2:8

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Some on this earth, may be born again who never ACHIEVE anything according to the WORLD's STANDARDS.
No "visions", no fancy seminars, no mountains of cash to carry to their favorite charity. But they have been GIVEN the only PRIZE that counts.

Phl 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

I may write more on this issue, but one way they are controlling people is via the hamster wheels, "DO, DO, DO" to prove yourself. I had enough years as a Catholic to know what a dead end that was all that works stuff, that my salvation came VIA HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Even looking at this class, and the details the Muslim lady shared, I think what absolute nonsense Warren had to share!

""You can waste your life. You can spend your life. Or you can invest your life. The best use of your life is to invest it in that which will outlast it. Invest it in serving others. And that's what it means to live a purpose-driven life." -- Pastor Rick Warren"

There is a lot of insidious New Age stuff in there too. So wonder he overlaps with Oprah now.

How do I say this life on this earth is SHORT and far from everything. Eternity with God is what counts.

Reading this stuff, these people act like they will live for ever, and what God will look at is their earthly "success".

Those are filthy rags.

Isa 64:6 But we are all as an unclean [thing], and all our righteousnesses [are] as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Rick and Joel, two of my all time favorite false teachers. Doesn't Joel have a purdy smile? No doubt payed for by his wonderful congregation of mouth breathers. Joel just does his awe shucks, motivational speaker act, and Warren is Mr Ambassador.

Oprah, isn't she rich enough yet? They all deserve eachother.

I agree anon.

In this world they are having their "reward" and their "wealth", we know what is coming for them later unless they repent.

One thing I've ran across couple of times is what "The Whole of the Law" , DO WHAT THOU WILL, actually means according to learned Satanists.

They say it does not mean doing whatever you want , but actually means "Finding Your Purpose", then doing it.

You know, I never did think Ricky Warren was especially smart.
This shows me that The Purpose Driven Life was not an original idea at all; and it certainly did not come from God.

"And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them." Ephesians 5:11

"But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed." Galatians 1:8

"If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: or he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds." 2 John 1:10-11

From my understanding of these three passages, it seems that those who fellowship and give their blessing to people with a false gospel or religion will partake in the same punishment that the accursed will receive.

Hey Anon, I never thought about it like that...

definitely has an overlap.

He doesn't say DO GOD's WILL but FIND YOUR PURPOSE [aka save this life, get your BEST life now, and world fame and success ad nauseum]

John 7:17
If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.
