Parody of a Modern Church Service

Funny, but so sad in that it is true.....

That looks like a Harvest Bible Chapel service!

Our pastor recently retired, and our independent church 'merged' with a Harvest Bible Chapel Church. The sheep scattered soon after when the wolves came in.

Never thought I would witness such a thing. The video is right on about them.

Sorry that happened to your church Doug.

Are you one of the "scattered sheep" now. That is a shame.

Did the retiring minister know what happened?

I have been to several services that resemble this one, usually walked out of most, during the blaring rock music, but a few times I stayed around to hear the "sermon".

Don't go there anymore. Our family was fortunite to find another small Bible believing church closer to our home. Seems like small churches do well, then as they grow, apostacy creeps in.

Regarding the old senior paster, I honestly don't think he knew this was going to happen when the decision was made to merge. But he had to have seen the signs. It is no secret what Harvest Bible Chapel is all about, and I even brought up my concerns to him. I could tell by his responses and posture to me, he was uncomfortable about it. We were all *assured* our church was going to remain independent, but it didn't. It took about a week see a link from the Chicagoland Harvest Bible Chapel to our church pop up. It appears this is another way to 'take out' good churches. Come in and see a pastor who is near retirement and 'merge' (take over). Haven't talked to my old pastor since leaving and he has moved on to do his passion, which is Biblical councelling, but he has to know what has happened since he was friends with many at the church.

Doug, sorry to hear that happened. I am glad you got away from there too. The senior pastor probably didn't realize what was coming but maybe he ignored too many signs and it's too bad you even trying to warn him. It really is a shame your church did not remain independent. Ones that are truly independent are better off, rather then joining with the ecumenical or "world christian" movement. Even when I have searched for a church 99% of them are tied in some way to either one or other false teachings. I am sure some of these church changers even look for retiring pastors that would make sense. When I was looking for a church, I actually looked for smaller churches, in rarer supply around here, but those you have more chance of finding a good body of true believers. Every now and then I peruse the phone book for new congregations, in outlying areas, do some search for home churches online. I have kept praying to find local fellow believers. I am happy you were able to find a small bible believing church in your area. God Bless.

This video reminds me of Harvest Bible Chapel. I say this with pain in my heart. I started going to Harvest when I converted to Christianity because I herd James MacDonald on the radio. At first I was dazzled by the music lights and big numbers. After a while I started realizing the manipulation that was going on.

I am glad you were able to get out of there. James McDonald is definitely tied to many false teachings and keeps company with many false teachers...
