A Variety of Links #4

"Why We Must Stop SOPA"
Right now, there are two pieces of legislation in Congress that would change the Internet forever if they are enacted. The Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and the Protect Intellectual Property Act (PIPA) would give the federal government the ability to potentially shut down millions of websites. SOPA (the version being considered in the U.S. House of Representatives) is the more dangerous of the two. It would essentially be the equivalent of a nuclear bomb being dropped on the Internet. It would give government officials unlimited power to very rapidly shut down any website that is found to "engage in, enable or facilitate" copyright infringement. That language is very broad and very vague. Many fear that it will be used to shut down any websites that even inadvertently link to "infringing material". Can you imagine a world where there is no more Facebook, Twitter or YouTube? Sites like those would be forced to hire thousands of Internet censors to make sure that no "infringing material" is posted, and many prominent websites may simply decide that allowing users to post content is no longer profitable and is just not worth the hassle. Are you starting to get the picture? That is why we must stop SOPA. If SOPA is enacted, it could be the death of the free Internet.

But this is exactly the kind of bill that the establishment media has been waiting for. It would give them back control. SOPA is being heavily promoted by big media corporations. If they are able to shut down free speech on the Internet, then suddenly everyone would be forced to rely on them for news and entertainment once again.

"SOPA Is The End of US Say Bloggers"

They are doing what they can to end freedom of speech online, I never expected something as open speech and free information on the internet to be something pernament. If this passes the only options will be all state-approved information and entertainment with the help of the big mega-corporations. I know even the time to do this blog may be short.

Ron Paul tells Woman With Cancer there should be no insurance for you.

Some potential supporters from the left have been put off by Paul's uncompromising support for the free market.

At a campaign stop in this small city of about 7,000, Paul told breast cancer survivor Danielle Lin that insurance companies should not be required to offer coverage to people who are already sick.

"It's sort of like me living on the Gulf Coast, not buying insurance until I see the hurricane," said Paul, whose Galveston-based district was devastated by a hurricane in 2008. "Insurance is supposed to measure risk."

The response left Lin in tears. While her insurance covered her treatment, she said, several of her friends were not so fortunate.

"I watched three friends die because they didn't have insurance," said Lin, a registered Democrat who is looking for a Republican candidate to support this time.

"Nobody can afford private insurance, nobody can. And they're dead."

The insurance health system is a racket, still think this guy isn't part of the establishment? Well think again. His out of touch idea that people go without insurance by choice instead of not having it via economic shortages is also absurd. Some of his other views are better, rejection of Federal Reserve etc, but I still believe this guy is being used for some sort of distraction or to get their candidate of choice in.

"More Than 1 in 4 Christians Are Pentecostal, Charismatic"

"The Pew Research Center's Forum on Religion & Public Life published a demographic report this week on the size and distribution of the world's Christian population and revealed that Pentecostals and charismatics make up more than a quarter of all Christians.

Using estimates from the Center for the Study of Global Christianity at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, the report also showed that together Pentecostals and charismatics make up more than 8 percent of the world’s total population.

The study defines Pentecostals as members of Pentecostal denominations that teach that all Christians should seek a post-conversion religious experience called the baptism of the Holy Spirit. These denominations also teach that those who experience the baptism of the Holy Spirit may receive spiritual gifts, including prophesy or speaking in tongues.

Charismatics are members of Catholic, Orthodox and some Protestant denominations, who engage in some spiritual practices associated with Pentecostalism."

I knew the number was high, but didn't know it was that high. That isn't good, as I talk about Pentecostalism here.

Even the Lawyers Think NDAA is EVIL.

and Obama Signed the NDAA oddly on New Years Eve. Ignore the stuff about signing statements, that is just smoke and mirrors to deflect his responsibility.

A Vote for Mitt Romney is a Vote for the NWO Well that is true for all the candidates. One like Ron Paul is just a deflector serving a secondary role that ones like Ralph Nader and Pat Buchanan played in previous "elections". Don't be deceived by the stage show, that elections have anything to do with Americans really choosing the best candidate. I believe whoever is the "winner" is chosen way ahead of time now. It is all about giving people the ILLUSION of CHOICE.

28 Signs That U.S. Public Schools Are Rapidly Being Turned Into Indoctrination Centers And Prison Camps
I agree with this, even the design of them now, seems to be about making them the best prison camps. I posted about this issue too, based on this blogger's other article: "Life In Public School Is Just Like Prison"

30 Statistics That Show That The Middle Class Is Dying Right In Front Of Our Eyes As We Enter 2012

New Age and Latter Rain There is  nothing new under the sun. Satan's lies always are the same, even when doing a long ago article on a false NAR preacher on this blog, everything she did was coinciding with things from the occult. Of course Latter Rain would match the New Age with just a changing of the surface language to make it sound "more Christian".

Chuck Smith Has Cancer Given his age, 84 this is not unexpected, cancer is a horrible illness no matter the age.  I tend to think he is among the seared but pray for repentance for everyone. Any lost soul is a tragedy.

Iran Military Leader Says U.S. Carrier Should Not Return to Gulf Base The war drums keep beating from over in Iran. There are too many in the elite who desire war with Iran.

Bible Believer said...

From mijadedios,-mijadedios I took out one of your sentences, hope you won't mind...you probably know why given your last question but wanted to post these points:

"On twitter today some folks are up in arms over SOPA. I'd like to point out that Egypt didn't pass a SOPA bill before they shut off social media in attempt to squelch the uprising, nor did other countries who did the same thing. I believe here in the US it was done also during a False Flag when there was some sort of protest near a port? I'd have to google right now I can't remember... Obama could use Exec Order too if he wanted and/or FEMA has controls built in to shut the internet down temporarily or target FB and Twitter. During "Power Outages" lots of people loose it because they can't tweet or FB."

Obama has a built in shut off switch on the internet, I am not sure this would be done via censorship of content though that is coming but probably internet companies just disconnecting everyone, scary to think about.

I believe this passed from last year...

Most of us won't even be able to use the phone if things go bad enough, I still remember how the lines were busy or down on 9-11.

And if power is out, very few will have interet accessibility.

But looks like they can shut it down power or no power.
