Faith Shared and Their Interfaith Services

Here is one of the lastest interfaith trends, apostate preachers and churches holding joint Islam-Talmudic Jewish and "Christian" servies where each reads from their "own sacred text". I read some time ago that joint services were being held but back in June, but didn't know who was sponsoring this.

Faith Shared

Will You Join Us In Faith Shared?
Faith Shared asks houses of worship across the country to organize events involving clergy reading from each other’s sacred texts. An example would be a Christian Minister, Jewish Rabbi and Muslim Imam participating in a worship service or other event. Suggested readings will be provided from the Torah, the Gospels, and the Qur’an, but communities are encouraged to choose readings that will resonate with their congregations. Involvement of members from the Muslim community is key. We will also provide suggestions on how to incorporate this program into your regular worship services. And we will assist local congregations in their media and communications efforts.

They held one of these services at the National Cathedral in Washington but they have been holding them many other places.

Just found your blog last night. I think the men lighting the unity candle speaks a wedding couple lights it to symbolize two becoming one...the three religions become one? Oh my!

That describes it precisely, Kathy! It's also called "adultery" for the "christian". Anon. #1

What that is above is the "spirit of antichrist".

This has been laid out using 2 John 7 and Vatican II documents from the Vatican website on the link below.

At least two of those guys in the photo are defined as an antichrist and the guy posing as a Christian makes himself an antichrist by embracing (accepting their rejection as Jesus as "The Messiah") them.

You are exactly right. Well the Vatican has been teaching that "allah" of Islam equals the one True God of the Bible over and over again. I used to tell people, as far as the one world religion goes, they probably would have that start off, by uniting the three large "monotheistic faiths" and then work their way down. That definitely has seemed to be in the game plan. Benedict taught this too on his visit to the Middle East just like JPII

Dear Friends,

It is a special joy for me to be able to welcome you, our guests who follow the faith of Islam, to Rome for the colloquium on "Holiness in Christianity and Islam". My fraternal greetings go as well to those Christians who have been taking part in the colloquium. As I have often said in other meetings with Muslims, your God and ours is one and the same, and we are brothers and sisters in the faith of Abraham. Thus it is natural that we have much to discuss concerning true holiness in obedience and worship to God."

They do essentially worship the same "god" but it is not the God of the Bible.

Kathy you are right it is just like a wedding, well I suppose it represents a "unity" candle. For me it represents the UU, [lighting of the chalice] it seems to be a very common interfaith ritual.

I live in an area that is majorly populated with Orthodox Muslims, Hindus, and other faiths. I worry that a lot of these people are putting their faith and hope of salvation in a "religion" or "system" instead of in Christ.

Yes they are, it is very sad to see.

There are many of the "nominal" unsaved Christians who are putting faith in "religion" and "systems" as well instead of Jesus Christ.
