"Easter is Not The Worship of God In Spirit and Truth"

"Easter is not The Worship of God in Spirit and Truth"

I wanted to share this article. I do not celebrate Easter. Like many Christians with time, I had to confront the many false traditions associated with Easter and finally asked what does the Easter Bunny, and baskets of eggs have to do with Jesus Christ? This one goes along with Christmas, where most Christians celebrate it not realizing the chosen date is based on the spring equinox...[ever wonder why the date of Easter is different every year?] This article answers that. Easter also equals Ishtar.

Much of the 'church calendars" out there are based on the false traditions of Rome and infiltrated Mystery Babylon paganism. As far as Jesus's resurrection, a Christian should be celebrating that every day, not just picking one day out of the year to do so. "Sunrise" services where I've even heard about congregations going outside to face the sun, for a special service are to be avoided as well.

Act 4:33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

Acts 12-KJ Bible shows Easter was Herod's Easter. lasttrumpetministries has online tracts on the holidays. We never celebrated Halloween after we were married in the early seventies then we stopped celebrating Easter in the eighties. We only stopped celebrating Christmas the past few years mostly due to information from lasttrumpetministries(the Nov.1983 newsletter has three proofs that Jesus was born about mid-September,a DVD and online tract-both about Christmas). We don't celebrate St.Valentine's Day, April Fool's Day/All Fools' Day, May Day, Earth Day, St. Patrick's Day,etc. Homeschool curriculums such as Abeka(high school Bible),Christian Liberty Press(biography)and Landmark Freedom high school level tell the true story of Patrick-he wasn't Roman Catholic. Our 6 children say they agree but we have 3 daughters-in-law/4 grandbabies I am praying for. We do have turkey dinners on Thanksgiving,Christmas and the Sunday called Easter. What day was Jesus' resurrection? I read it was really on a Saturday. Our Conservative Baptist church does mention Easter season/Resurrection Sunday.

Anonymous said...

According to a careful reading of Scripture it was just at the separation of the sun going down on Saturday and the start of the first day of the week, which began after sundown Saturday night. The first day of the Jewish week began after sun down on Saturday night. Using the sun rise on the day of the sun is a pagan holdover. In fact, when the sun's day was proclaimed "holy" by Constantine the sun worshiper, this was the cornerstone of the foundation in the re-establishment of paganism disguised as "christianity". If you notice, that cornerstone--the day of the sun (and really the sun being worshiped)--is the exact opposite of the Foundation with Jesus Christ as the Cornerstone. Anon. #1

First Anon, that is interesting about "Herod's Easter". I am glad you saw through Halloween and have given up Christmas and Easter too. For me I was convicted about these holidays, seeing writings online too, but in reading the Bible and studying God's Word, too. I know it is difficult in that 99.9% of the churches out there are not warning about these false holidays. Some of the fundamentalist ones won't emphasize them or refer to Resurrection Sunday, but people are so entrenched in these traditions, outside of the Jehovah Witnesses who introduce their own deceptions, most churches are celebrating Christmas and Easter especially. I refuse to wear green on ST. Patrick's Day and consider a lot of the other holidays pagan based. You are correct about Earth Day,May Day and the rest of it. Keep praying for your family in that they will see the truth about these holidays.

Bible Believer said...

Second Anon, yes you are right, this is about worship of the "sun", and we know Sunday was named and chosen that for a reason. {I know we have the pagan named days like Saturn Day and Freida Day...} Yes this came from Constantine, and paganism with a "christian" veneer--Catholicism. We know basically sun worship, is tied to the celebration of the two solstices, Christmas--winter solstice and Easter--spring solstice.

I just found this link, interesting info on churches being found on pagan "high ground" related to sunworship...

Abeka teaches about Patrick in their Church history text(grades 11/12) and Landmark teaches about him in their Baptist history text(grade 10).

I like the Halloween tracts at Christian Light Publications and in the Rod and Staff Publishers catalog(Crockett, Kentucky).

Anonymous said...

Be careful about Abeka history book versions. They like to present the "founding fathers" of this country as some sort of veritable "saints". I had to use my own history research that presented a realistic view--that they were practically all Deists. So I did not use their history books. Of course, to be fair, this was quite some years ago. Perhaps they have changed--but somehow I doubt it. Anon. #1

I agree about the Abeka(KJ) history books. We used Landmark Freedom(KJ)for our homeschool high school, Bob Jones University Press as recommended by keepersofthefaith.com and Christian Light Education(Mennonite). We never tried Rod and Staff Publishers(KJ-Mennonites) but recently bought some of their early readers for the grandchildren. There are DVDs-The Hidden Faith of Our Founding Fathers-we heard about.

I used to read and follow last trumpet ministries until I found Pastor David J. Meyer's failed prophecies. I had to dig way back into the newsletters a couple of years to find where he spoke of seeing visions and dreaming dreams, and they have not come true. The newsletters are fear mongering, and just regurgitate what a person can already find online at many news sources.

I stopped celebrating all holidays save for thanksgiving a while ago. Thank you for your timely articles speaking truth to traditions of man.

Doesn't the celebration of Easter always follow Passover on the calendar? The two are always in the same week, right, so that would be according to history?

I would agree with limiting eggs and bunnies, but I wonder if not celebrating at all is too negative? I'm still undecided on this, but I like the celebration of Resurection Sunday as long as it is focused on the cross and new birth. Sunrise services are to glory in the break of day when it was discovered that the tomb was empty and He had risen, so I'm not sure about that one either.

I know it's difficult to give up things that have been family traditions and social traditions, so I'm still working through this.

Just listened to this interesting timeline that was posted on TTOL. Talks about the Jewish Holy days during the week of Passover and to Pentecost and how Jesus' death and resurrection perfectly lines up with those days. Very interesting:

I watched The Hidden Faith of the Founding Fathers DVD on youtube last night-3 hours. It shows they were Deists,Masons, etc. It has a lot of Scripture. Anyone heard of the new Atlas Shrugged(book by Ayn Rand)-Part one movie? My son is seeing it today. The late Pastor Dave Meyer said in the Nov. 2009 newsletter that the book is a blueprint for world takeover. I do know her life and philosophy. Her book The Fountainhead had a split-second scene in the pro-legal-abortion movie Dirty Dancing as the college student was saying that some people matter, some people don't (I was turning tv channels and found that out recently).

John 19:5 We have no king but caesar..

Rome’s Nero, a Jewish Convert, Persecuted Christians

The Apostle Paul, in the New Testament, reported that it was the Jews who stirred up the Romans and incited such fierce animosity of nations against the Christian Church. Historians record that Emperor Nero, after marrying a Jewess, converted to Judaism and swiftly became a persecutor of Christians. Darkly inspired by his newfound Jewish faith, the mad Nero fed many to the lions at the Colosseum, sawed others in half, and sentenced many others to be crucified.

Sabina Poppaea nero's wife was also jewish.
And for nero's next but one followers Titus and Berenice read :

Very early power implications with rom and the ruthless persecutions on christians from the very beginning till the modern times is undoubtably.

Anonymous said...

Poppaea was a Jewish convert, but Nero himself was not Jewish. Plus you might try staying on topic, as the topic is the pagan adoption of easter by Christians. What does any of this have to do with that, pray tell? Are you trying to distract from the pagan adaptation because you adore easter? Just asking. Anon. #1

Bible Believer said...

Yes please stay on topic. Christian, are you a Trad or Sede Catholic? Just curious

I agree, many are fooled by the competing sides.

Matt, I'm going over to respond to your comments, Thanks...

To other Anon, Ayn Rand was a Theosophist, and obviously we see the strains of Nietzsche in her works, and the so called "super-men" ethos. I consider her books evil. What is scary, is many libertarians who are right about some of the lost freedoms in government, hold up this woman and her writings as some sort of idol. I once read someone who pointed out there was no children or old people in her books and that was for a reason. I have read Atlas Shrugged and Fountainhead years ago. "Men shall be as gods" is the subtle message behind them.

Can you tell me a few of those failed prophecies or email them to me?

I seriously got worried about Meyer when I listened to a few sermons, and saw a strain of numerology and other very odd statements within them, and discerned he was not a teacher to trust even if I had learned from his writings online, etc. I remember being in shock and well disappointed.

Bible Believer said...

Labby thanks for that video, well Passover and true Jewish holidays, that Jesus celebrated, definitely pointed to him.

"Be careful about Abeka history book versions. They like to present the "founding fathers" of this country as some sort of veritable "saints""

I agree. Be careful of homeschool materials, even Christian based ones, I have noted via the Dominionists, Vision Forum, etc strain a lot of FALSE HISTORY has been infused into them. The False myths aren't just being taught to adults but to children. One of the biggest myths is that the founders were great biblical Christians.

In lasttrumpetministries Nov. 2009 newsletter Dave Meyer says that Ayn Rand was Phillipe Rothschild's mistress. That's the oldest newsletter I have. He does mention how numerology is used by politicians, etc. but I haven't seen him mentioning dreams or visions. I did see a few of his DVDs. I am not charismatic.

Anonymous said...

I remember David Meyer mentioning dreams and visions of the 911 attacks and using numerology, he has not retracted these statements and has passed on from this world.

I am saddened by this because he claims to have come out of generational witchcraft, also he is a fellow Wisconsinite, and if he had not done these things I would have attended his church.

Without a public statement of repentance and having "buried" his newsletters and videos, I can not ever support his ministry.

Anonymous said...

I will try to look for the newsletters he wrote on 911, I am not confident that I will find them though, there has been so many years passed since then.

The 911 tragedies were in 2001 so I will look there. I am really bogged down in the chores of daily life so it might take me a while to find time for an in depth search.

Bible Believer said...

Regarding David Meyer I have in my papers, a newsletter of his from 2001, where he seems to have a vision of 9-11 before it happens. [dated Aug. 2001] I'll have to dig it out. I'll take a picture of it, and stick it up here. To me that does not give him credibility, because often those who preach false prophecies throw in a few true ones. Listening to at least 5 of the man's sermons from online [about 6 months ago], his use of numerology and other subtle occult messages horrified me to the extreme. I was very saddened to, anon, because this I did not expect. I was very disappointed because I liked to think this was one guy who was true, and warning about what was happening in the world. This is why we have to be so careful as Christians out in this world. Last anon if you can find your papers where he writes about 9-11 too, dig those out, I'd appreciate it.

I have newsletters back to 1988. Only a few and a lot from the mid 90s. I think I should look over them. That is interesting about Ayn Rand if that is true.

Anonymous said...

I have found the newsletter where he talks of his vision.

September 2001

the second paragraph in the: Unmistakable Signs Of The End! he references the number 13 in relation to a vision

August 2001

Conspiracy On The East River!
this is laden with occult numerology, and there is really no reason for most of the number references, they seem to be arbitrary.

Another thing I noticed is websites and people linked to him while googleing that I know are new agers in christian garb, such as cutting edge ministries (staffed by a mason and KJV bashers)

and godlike productions forum

This is enough to convince me, David J Meyer is a new ager in christian garb (wolf in sheep's clothing)

the Conspiracy On The East River! address is not working so here us a tiny url to it

it is the August 2001 issue if you want to back track it that way

Why did you delete bible verses from Matthew
and Acts i posted?
Is your name and your motto on top just a masquerade?
So sad to see those kind of evil censorship and hypocrisy. All efforts here from you are just vain stuff if you delete the words of Jesus and Stefan. And don't tell me i did not fit the context.Your motto should be:"Give me barabas"

How in the world did your post fit into the context of this article?! This article was about easter...."christian". Anon. #1

Christian, the discussions have gotten on other topics. I did not censor your posts for scripture within them but the antisemitism. You have follow for one of Rome's greatest lies where "blame the Jews" is pushed on people. This is why I asked you if you are a Trad Catholic? Just so you understand my views read this post:

By the way I believe the Jesuits wrote the Protoccols.

Anon-Regard David Meyer:

I havent seen the Sept 2001, but yes the Aug 2001, is where you see his vision.

As I looked, I felt the Spirit of the Almighty come over me, and when He opened my eyes I saw massive flames of fire rising high into the sky as the entire island of Manhattan was engulfed in flames. The flames rose high above the buildings and pulsated with intensity. I could hear the horrifying screams of multitudes of people in the distance as the burning continued and intensified. Then, the vision ended as quickly as it began, and I stood there with tears filling my eyes as I realized what is coming upon this nation"

ONe question I asked as I read that one a few years ago, I got old newsletters from a friend, is WHY WAS HE HANGING OUT AT THE UN? I can understand perhaps to expose something, but why multiple trips?

"It was our eleventh trip to this city of spiritual Babylon, and one of our reasons for going was to go to the United Nations, where meetings were to be held to plan a strategy on how to completely disarm the "citizens" of all member nations."

I don't think the UN lets just anyone show up outside of the tourist areas. This is why when it comes to Alex Jones supposedly sneaking into the Bildenberger camp, I laugh, they wouldnt let him in there, unless they were allowing it.

You talk about something I noticed too in the sermons: He throws around occult and numerology markers like candy, and not just when exposing something!

"the second paragraph in the: Unmistakable Signs Of The End! he references the number 13 in relation to a vision"

"there is really no reason for most of the number references, they seem to be arbitrary."

They are and he does the same thing in his sermons.

That said, I don't trust him as a teacher at all, and agree with you regarding your conclusions. I made that decision listening to his sermons: definite wolf in sheep's clothing.

With Cutting Edge, I have used some of their links, but I have deep concerns there too.

Anonymous said...

Wow I also thought, why is he going to the UN? and also thought Alex Jones was invited to Bohemian Grove rather then sneaking in.
And yes I thought it was so convenient that David Meyer would have this vision, its easy to be a prophet after the fact.

Bible Believer said...

Alex Jones, admits to "sneaking in" or here infiltrating Bohemian Grove.

On July 15, 2000, Alex Jones and Mike Hanson, equipped with two hidden video cameras and disguised as members of the Bohemian Club successfully infiltrated the elite cult compound."

I find it hard to believe security would be that lax.

Yeah I find the 9-11 vision kind of creepy too. [after the fact you are right about it being easy. One thing I can't help but think is well 9-11 was planned, there are those who knew it was going to happen.

Ishtar's symbols are the lion and the eight-pointed star. She has nothing to do with Easter. It is celebrated after passover, because in the Bible, Jesus celebrated passover with the apostles before going to Gethsemane and being betrayed by Judas. Easter takes place on the day that it does because it happens that way in the Bible.

Anonymous said...

Dropping Christmas & Easter was easy after first learning they were of pagan origin way back in the late 1970's. No great loss, but freedom in Christ actually! Ditto all the other secular & quasi-Christian holidays (St. Patrick's, etc.).

As for DJM & LTM, Pastor DJ Meyer's newsletters are online at their website, at least as far back as 1994 that I can see (right column of years which scrolls up/down): http://lasttrumpetnewsletter.org/

I don't think he was exposing numerology, etc., in order to snare the saints but to keep us from being "ignorant of Satan's devices." What it taught me was how occultism is so deeply embedded throughout society, the world, & its institutions, far worse than I ever realized on my own; all the more reason to "separate ourselves" & not fall for the world's schemes, promises, goals, etc. Knowing how they "flash" their messages in practically every major building design, symbol, logo, dates/times/seasons, semantics in their speeches, movies, songs, hand signs in their photo ops, etc., just proves how widespread the fallen of humanity has extended, & all the more closer the Lord's return.

As for why they went to the UN, as I recall they would go as "prayer warriors" to various locations for the purposes of "spiritual warfare." A lot of Evangelicals & Pentecostals believe in doing that (going to actual locations to "pray against" whatever, such as abortion clinics, etc.) Whether that is a good idea or not, Biblically speaking, I guess depends on one's training. I have no desire to go to the UN, but I did appreciate learning from a DJM newsletter re the creepy "New Age black altar" in a room at the UN, etc.

To bring things up to current news, earlier I was going thru old notes looking for something & came across the June 2008 LTM newsletter. A brief section was re an ad by Absolut Vodka company that was splashed all over Mexico at the time, the ad showing the USA half covered up by Mexico. The ad message to the Mexicans said, "Drink Absolut Vodka when You Invade." (!!) Just goes to show how corrupt the corporations are as well. That news originally came from The Washington Times as referenced in the LTM Newsletter Acknowledgement section.

That's what I liked re LTM Newsletters, that people all over the world sent DJM news clips/original sources, many little things pertaining to our times that may have skipped our notice, plus DJM's always-interesting commentaries re same (another example: Hillary Clinton & Eight Belles, lol, from the same June 2008 LTM newsletter).

Anyway, DJM is gone now, & "who are we to judge another man's servant? Before his own Master he stands or falls." & "Judge nothing before its time" (both Paul verses).

However, if anything offends a Christian's conscience then he/she should not partake of whatever it is. "Anything not of faith is sin."
