"Calvary Chapel's Logo--Occult Significance?"

I've been wanting to link to this one for a while, its from some time ago but it explores the Calvary Chapel "Diving Dove": "Calvary Chapel's Logo-Occult Significance?"

Look again at the Calvary Chapel logo--is this a sneaky, subtly disguised depiction of an 'attacking' owl....with the tail of the dove now having become the 'ears' of the owl?

I remember the Alberto Rivera comic where he warned that the Jesuits use the dove as a symbol of an infiltrated church.

hi! I just got your PM but was uncertain about responding through the forum.

I am so pleased to make your acquaintance. I consider myself a spiritual seeker, am not sure what my belief are to be honest. But I admire several of the young ladies who are blogging, and though I am not part of the "Quiverfull" movement (and I find the Pearls abhorrent), I do not think that snarking and bashing people is the way to encourage people to change!

I will probably quit the forum too. I have been trying to pray about it and find out what God wants me to do. There is probably a better way to spend one's time... perhaps I will peruse your blog instead!

Thank you for reaching out to me, I am very glad you did!

I'm just not sure about this one looking like an owl so much. It does look like a nosediving dove, though, instead of one peacefully flying or descending. The dove symbol was all over the place back in the 70s and signified the Holy Spirit movement, or was a symbol for those who were "spirit filled" because many believed then, and still do, that the indwelling of the Holy Spirit is something separate from the salvation experience and is a totally different experience. I was raised to believe that, but no longer believe that way. I've seen too much that is wrong, and not much that is right with that experience or way of thinking, unfortunately.

Keeping an open mind about the owl thing, though:)

Thanks Allyne. Are you a Christian? or just a fan of some of those blogs? Yes please check out my blog. I do think "snarking" has become the new word for "mean as possible sarcasm". Even though I am against the Quiverful/patriarchy movement, I would rather talk to an young woman who has the idealism to look towards old fashioned values, then some who seem intent on worldly "meanness". Even when I agreed with those folks on things, [hey remember I wrote an article exposing the Quiverful, and partriarchy stuff] just because I was a fundamentalist Christian that was enough but Jesus tells us how the world will react against those who are His followers. Too bad, some of the women were smart and interesting to talk to. I did learn a lot there about some of these religious movements, [and the nonbelievers who see "evil"] are having moments of conscience when they question some of what is going on but sadly the place is too negative, and too much of the mainstream where independent thought [except that considered "progressive and femimist" enough] is allowed. Yes hang out on my blog instead :)

Hey Labby, look at it with the two top points forming the "owl ears". Yeah the owl thing may be a further stretch but I've discovered the dive bombing dove, all over the Jesuit logos etc. Yes it was used all over the Charismatic movement of the 70s too.

Hi, I stumbled across your blog today. You have some interesting posts but you also seem to be stretching it a bit on some others, like this supposed "occult significance" of the Calvary Chapel dove.

There are plenty of other areas where the deception is clear and well documented. Take, for example, the manner in which George W. Bush and Co. conned Christian America:

"Christian Hugs and Handcuffs for George W. Bush"

I'm going to follow your blog because it seems at first glance you are generally working to bring discernment to people.

hi again! thanks for replying to my post. I am enjoying your blog.

I used to consider myself Pentecostal. I was a member of the Church of God in Christ but had some disagreements with them. Since then I have tried a couple of other churches but it seems like so many of them fall into politics and infighting, stuff like that. I would rather focus on God. The word "Christian" has so many connotations, I do not tend to use it much, but I believe in Jesus! <3

I am glad you believe in Jesus. The word Christian is Ok in itself, it is used in the Bible.
Act 26:28 Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.

What matters is if you have been biblically born again, and have become a Christian. I think the Pentecostal church has some saved people in it, but hopefully as they are warned via the Holy Spirit they will obey. I have posted about the Pentecostal movement here, and attended a Calvary Chapel. Finding a decent church today is very hard, I was in a good fundamentalist baptist one for some years, but now, as we are warned in the Bible, believe it is the great falling away. Church of God be careful of them, I see them on every ecumenical roster there is. That doesnt mean there may not be some exceptions to the rules but the one here is very Purpose-Driven Life.

Here is the article I wrote on Pentecoastalism. If you are interesting do a search for the Calvary Chapel blog entries. They are more Pente-light but bringing in many errors.

It will help explain where I'm coming from....

Hi Rick welcome to my blog. Yes I am trying to bring discernment. With Calvary Chapel, that is a church that on first sight does look very good, so finding out what I did was not easy. I have some threads on Calvary Chapel that go deeper then the symbols including Calvary Chapel's involvement with Billy Graham etc.
I think you will find my discussions of Graham intersting including another article where I focus on him and his son.

Christians in America definitely were conned by GWB. I believe worse deception and control could be waiting in the wings a la the Dominionists. Since you are new I think you would find those articles of interest, go ahead and comment, I do see all comments coming in.

Very intersting article. The torture stuff greatly disturbed me. I remember getting in a disagreement! with self confessing "Christians", I couldnt believe they defended those things. Today the Christian right is being utilized in the two sides against the middle plan for America to embrace the police state and more dismantling of the Constitution. The Tea Partiers [where many did have some good aims] have been co-opted in defense of the modern robber barons to remove all safety nets and hedges [yes the unions did become bloated and corropt] against the increase of their power.

Obama I believe was chosen by the elite. He has NOT retracted any of Bush's foreign pursuits, including the waterboarding even if he admits it is torture. I skimmed a few of your articles including the one on Civil Rights in reverse and you said this and are definitely right:

"People hoped for change in President Obama, but the globalist, control-oriented agenda G.W. Bush advanced seems to be progressing equally well under Obama's leadership"

It is all about fulfilling that globalist agenda!

I sometimes question the "liberals" who didnt even see the Middle Eastern wars for NWO profit ended, but Obama throws them a few liberal "social" crumbs like defending homosexual agendas and that is enough to silence them in their spiritual blindness. [there are plenty of 'conservatives" who are blind to what is really going on too]

I know about Bohemian Grove and have studied some of those things on line. This world is under deep luciferian deception. God allowed me and has others too, to find out these things out. By the way when it comes to the religious leaders too many of them are in on the luciferian deception.

Thanks for your post.

Christian is in the Scriptures, however, the verse you quote is a known scribal error and should read "Natsarim".
Furthermore, where it states "believers" where first called "Christians" in Antioch, they were called this scornfully, they did not call themselves this.
The word "Christian" ("Christionos/Cristianos//Kristionos"etc)has become, in the minds of most, to mean "Follower of Christ", however the root word that it derived from was "cretin", or "cretinoid", which in today's most common slang; "an idiot".

Paul was accused of being a "Ring Leader of the Natsarim" - Here is a link to a video that covers the most of it fairly quickly - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJNLkgzpe4g
The "Christian""Religion" known today, is not at all what 99.9% of "believers" Believe" it is. The true faith/belief, the true Feasts & Appointed Times ("Holidays") He gave us, the true doctrine, even His True Name, has been completely hidden and replaced with Hellenized Paganism & Luciferian Sun Worship.
We ignore His Appointed Times, claim His Torah was "Nailed to the Cross", eat whatever we want, "worship" on SUNday, celebrate the birth of the Mashiach/Messiyah on the winter solstice, "The rebirth of the Sun" even though we KNOW He was born on the 1st day of The Feast of Sukkot (Booths/Tabernacles) and circumcised on the eight day of the feast, a feast we're COMMANDED to keep, but know nothing about.
We do all of this because the "Church Fathers" @ the Gnostic Catholic Catechismal School of Alexandria Egypt, the birth place of Christianity and home to self castrating leaders like Clement, mixed the true scriptures with their pagan deities names, throughout the books they didn't like, twisted the verses to fit their agenda, and set fires to their own libraries that magically (literally) burned up "only" the Hebrew copies of the scriptures.
I'm an ex-satanist and Calvary Chapel-ite. After I could no longer over look the symbolism, and contracted cancer which gave me plenty of time on my hands, I began a very lengthy investigation that changed my entire life, and rocked me to the core, but lead to the finding of information most people will Never know, the very details to the part we can feel is true; "Nothing is what it seems" - This deception will continue..Only because people won't ask the Father for the knowledge, wisdom & discernment...and then with effort, look.
Shalom to you friend, and may Yahushua bless you and keep you.
Baruch Haba Ba'shem YaHUaH!

"And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry you in the city of Jerusalem, until you are endued with power from on high." Luke 24:49

were the disciples unsaved until the Father sent the Holy Spirit? was Christ's work on the cross not finished when He said it was? what about the thief on the cross, did he receive the Holy Spirit when he believed and was told that he would be with the Lord in paradise that day yet the Spirit had not come?

and why would Paul ask the certain disciples he found in Acts 19:1 if they had received the Holy Spirit when they believed? keep in mind, this is the same greek word (pisteuo)as in John 3:16 (whosoever believeth) and so these disciples were indeed saved.
"He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost." Acts 19:2

and i would say using ad hominem as your argument for not believing in something isn't logical. if that were the case then it would seem like you are not only justifying you own disbelief, but also atheists when they say that they dont believe in Jesus because of the crusades, or because of the hypocrisy. but of course this is a fallacy, and we as Christians (meaning "little Christ") should be searching for Truth.

pray about this. this rebuke isnt meant to condemn, because of course "there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus who walk not according to the flesh but according to the spirit" Romans 8:1, but to encourage you to "Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." 2 Timothy 2:15

and with everything i've said, do as the bereans did in Acts 17:11 and search the Scriptures to prove that these things are so.

- a disciple whom Jesus loved

To Anon above,

why on earth would you see people who just say they are "Christians" automatically as the real thing?

FAR More has been exposed about Calvary Chapel since I did this article. The owl logo was just the tip of the iceberg.

Those who have discernment and follow the Holy Spirit are NOT pairing up with the wicked to follow Knights of Malta people and praising Catholicism.

Having been a believer for over 40 years, and having studied Greek (not just how to look up a strongs reference) as a language, I believe this blog is really out there. There is a lot of "typing", but as a CC Pastor and having studied the scriptures over and over, you are totally void of any scriptural basis for your accusations and teachings. You do not know what every Calvary Chapel Pastor teaches, nor do you seem to understand the True Gospel. You are obviously an antagonist and not practicing Agape. Paul warns us about you. Shameful behavior to spread lies and deceipt behind the veil of the internet.

I am curious are you a supporter of Billy Graham?

http://galatiansfour.blogspot.com/2010/04/one-shocking-thing-i-found-out-as-i.html

Do you agree with Chuck Smith, that Catholics are Christians too?

http://galatiansfour.blogspot.com/2011/12/more-from-news4themasses-chuck-smith.html

What do you think of Greg Laurie doing conferences with Rick Warren?

http://galatiansfour.blogspot.com/2012/06/rick-warren-and-greg-laurie-at-r12.html

What about the other things exposed about Calvary Chapel?

It's too bad, you won't take the warnings and deal with the information instead of shutting your mind down about it.It would be very worthwhile for an entire church full of people to have a pastor who would be open to research and praying for the truth instead of who got automatically angry at any new information.

It's really too bad.

And what does all that Greek and study really mean, if you do not get or discern what the Bible talks about when it comes to the one world religion, and antichrist?

Do you support Lausanne?

I remember someone saying that an old timer original CCer, John Higgins, said he "designed" that dove. IDK if that is true or it's just rumor. That Dove has made it's rounds. We should know there's nothing new under the sun and that many symbols are just repackaged and often times history is rewritten for them to have a clean bill of health when in reality they may be very sinister. The issue is not to argue over the DOVE, but above all the false teachings pumped out from CC. Who really began CC and what was their intention, and don't quote the well scripted, "and I looked at them and said, Why don't they wash their hair (hippies)" and soon they were in the "lil" (church plant with intention of becoming a mega church) church in Santa Ana. Blah... so untrue. It's a script every CC attendee knows by heart. We could all probably say it in unison, those of us who left, who were brainwashed to believe that Kay just had a heart for hippies and Chuck Smith in all his yuppie glory was willing to embrace a (gay) charismatic hippie who catapulted the CC "movement" into history. I intend to study greek, I can't wait to find in the NT where it says to have a pyramid scheme church based on a "Moses" model that has never been scriptural as the means to lord over the sheep. Or do you think like me it's not there, in Greek or Hebrew...
